FT Island′s Lee Hong Gi Replaces Super Junior′s Lee Teuk as DJ of ′Kiss The Radio′
FT Island′s Lee Hong Gi has been selected as the new DJ for KBS Cool FM′s Kiss The Radio.
Lee Hong Gi will be replacing Super Junior′s Leeteuk, who has been the DJ for Kiss The Radio for a long time.
With the departure of Leeteuk, the show removed "Super Junior" from its title for the first time in 10 years.
KBS revealed, "Expectations are high to see how Lee Hong Gi, who has shown a variety of charm in the past, will capture the hearts of fans as a radio DJ."
Lee Hong Gi has shown his abilities through a number of variety shows in the past including MCing for SBS′ Inkigayo and Mnet′s M COUNTDOWN.
Meanwhile, FT Island is currently in Japan for their FT Island Autumn Tour 2016 - We Just Do It.

According to KBS, Lee Hongki was selected to succeed Leeteuk, who recently announced his resignation due to schedule conflict. Lee Hongki will begin his DJ duties on October 17th. Guest DJs will be hosting the radio show until then.
KBS is reportedly still discussing if it will keep ‘Kiss The Radio’ or begin a new program with Lee Hongki.

Lee Hong-ki, a member of rock band FT Island, will host the nighttime radio program “Kiss the Radio” starting Monday and he said this is likely to change his daily routine.
“At first I regretted not being able to hang out at night anymore,” said the 26-year-old singer at a promotion event. “But I realized that I can go practice bowling after hosting the show. Furthermore, I quit drinking alcohol.”
The radio program had been hosted by members of the boy band Super Junior since 2006, two years after the show was launched. The last member to host it was Leeteuk, who emceed the show until Oct. 2. Kang Kyun-sung, a singer and member of rhythm and blues group Noel, hosted the show for two weeks until Sunday.
The radio show airs daily from 10 p.m. to midnight.
