Jang Keun Suk Talks About Competing with Park Shin Hye

Jang Keun Suk talked about his former co-star Park Shin Hye.

The actor met with reporters on January 20, in Gangnam-gu, and talked about his celebrity connections.

When asked who he’s close to, he answered, “Kim Jae Joong, Ji Sung, Kim Hee Chul, Yong Jun Hyung, Lee Hong Gi and Mithra Jin. For girls, I’m close to Yoona and Park Shin Hye, since we did projects together.”

“I talked to Park Shin Hye on the phone just yesterday,” he continued. “I will be meeting her tomorrow for a Chinese commercial. I did about three advertisements with her already. I always recommend Park Shin Hye as my partner. We get along well and I really wish the best for her as a hubae.”


The two became close through drama You’re Beautiful in 2009. But they had to compete recently when Jang Keun Suk starred in Pretty Boy, while Park Shin Hye starred in The Heirs, which aired at the same time.

About the competition, Jang Keun Suk said, “Park Shin Hye said to me, ‘Why does your drama have to air at the same time as mine.’ She said that because she had no choice but to compete with me.”

Hello everyone. I think my last visit was a year ago. I still love both JKS and PSH so much but work is not allowing me to be active.
I was coming to post about the new Chinese CF JKS and PSH will do soon. Really happy to see them together again.
PSH has always been JKS's recommendation as a partner. They did the Edute house , Garden Mall , Codes Combine and now a new CF. I wonder what company? Maybe TongYi juice ? Or maybe a new company all together. I look forward to their new project together.
After this year I have no doubt in my mind of how much of close and good friends they are they supported each other even when their dramas aired at the same time. They are true friends.
PSH is the only partner JKS had done commercials with and not just once but now four different companies. Their friendship is very strong. Looking forward to this new CF. HTK and GMN meet again in a new project all grown up and more mature. Fighting!

I'm speechless over this because I'm so so so happy reading the news. Moreover, it was confirmed by JKS himself that they will meeting today for a China CF !!!!!!! So spazzing !
We've been waiting for such a news for two years long and finally it will come true.
What I can say is JKS and PSH are so fated and destined. They are real !

And I love the way he talked about Shin Hye so enthusiasmly. It seemed he missed working together again with her. I'm sure she did too!
She mentioned him they contacted each other saying good luck now and then meanwhile he mentioned her as a best friend and recommend to work with her and that he just called her yesterday (19th Jan), as he was being interviewed on 20th.
Let's wait for further news and pictures and so on !!!

Jang Geuk Seok Done with Rom-coms After Pretty Boy and Headed to China to Film CF with Park Shin Hye

Coming up next for Jang Geun Seok will be a blast from the past as he’s heading to China this week to film a Chinese CF with his frequent collaborator Park Shin Hye. It would mark their third CF pairing together and I’m actually super curious what their chemistry is like now almost five years after their You’re Beautiful collaboration

They really very super adorable together, and Jang Geun Seok mentioned in this most recent interview that she’s still a very close friend and he’s been super happy for all her recent career successes. I actually liked their CFs together and think they would have worked better had their drama characters been less cartoonish in You’re Beautiful.

Thanks aroc61. You are absolutely correct. It must have skipped ockoala's mind while editing the article that I posted a bit over here. Actually, she showed pictures from all previous three collaborations. I just posted only one since everyone here is familiar but maybe I will add others just to let all new members or visitors become aware with it too.
I cannot recall Shinhye ever doing a CF with any of her leads before........am I right? If so this 4th commercial together becomes even more significant specially considering it's the first one abroad......China......a huge market so am excited for Shinhye.
