The Body Language Signs of GeunShin Relationship

There are obviously too many pictures and videos that need to be looked at and viewed in order for any of us to come up with a plausible statistic of GuenShin relationship. Also, taking into account that we have never actually heard them talk to each other besides the BTS and during the shows makes it harder to determine their relationship.
Having said that, what is more important that speech, are body languages. Our body movement reveals the true nature of our feelings and generally will ‘sell you out ‘unless you are a Politician or an experienced and eloquent public speaker. Even so, Bill Clinton was caught in a lie by his body language.
Words alone - especially emotional words (or words used in emotional situations) - rarely reflect full or true meaning and motive. We find clues to additional or true meaning in body language.
I present to you the selective study of the body language that everybody should note when looking at couples in love :

body language warning
Body language is not an exact science.
No single body language sign is a reliable indicator.
Understanding body language involves the interpretation of several consistent signals to support or indicate a particular conclusion.

#EYES - window to our soul

An important aspect of body language study is of course the eye movement and in general the surrounding eye area. The first thing that police will look at when they interrogate is the eyes as it will never lie (unless you are a politician or an experienced public speaker)

Eye Movement:
Eye movement just does not stop just at moving to the left and right, it covers much more. It is too many to list down here. Sufficient to say that, we need to use this theory only in general terms. I will list a few that I believe is relevant to our discussion (BEAR WITH ME):

looking right generally means Creating.
Creating here is basically making things up and saying them. Depending on context this can indicate lying.

looking left generally means Recalling.
Recalling and then stating 'facts' from memory in appropriate context often equates to telling the truth. Whether the 'facts' (memories) are correct is another matter. Left downward looking indicates silent self-conversation or self-talk, typically in trying to arrive at a view or decision.

widening eyes
Widening the eyes generally signals interest in something or someone, and often invites positive response. Widened eyes with raised eyebrows can otherwise be due to shock, but aside from this, widening eyes represents an opening and welcoming expression. In women especially widened eyes tend to increase attractiveness, which is believed by some body language experts to relate to the eye/face proportions of babies, and the associated signals of attraction and prompting urges to protect and offer love and care, etc.
direct eye contact (when listening)
Eyes which stay focused on the speakers eyes, tend to indicate focused interested attention too, which is normally a sign of attraction to the person and/or the subject.

Doe eyes
A softening of the eyes, with relaxing of muscles around the eye and a slight defocusing as the person tries to take in the whole person is sometimes called doe eyes, as it often indicates sexual desire, particularly if the gaze is prolonged and the pupils are dilated .The eyes may also appear shiny. (a lot of people has commented that Sukkie’s eyes are always shiny when Shin Hye is mentioned..LOL)

Long eye contact
We look more at people we like and like people who look at us more. When done with doe eyes and smiles, it is a sign of attraction. Lovers will stare into each other’s eyes for a long period. Attraction is also indicated by looking back and forth between the two eyes, as if we are desperately trying to determine if they are interested in us too.
An attraction signal that is more commonly used by women is to hold the other person's gaze for about three seconds, Then look down for a second or two and then look back up again (to see if they have taken the bait). If the other person is still looking at them, they are rewarded with a coy smile or a slight widening of the eyes ('Yes, this message is for you!').

Glancing
Glancing at something can betray a desire for that thing, for example glancing at the door can indicate a desire to leave.
Glancing at a person can indicate a desire to talk with them. It can also indicate a concern for that person's feeling when something is said that might upset them.
Glancing may indicate a desire to gaze at something or someone where it is forbidden to look for a prolonged period.

*This next eye movement I believe is very Sukkie. I have seen many interviews where his eyes do this movement. I am not saying he is a liar, just an observation.*

Lateral movement
Eyes moving from side-to-side can indicate shiftiness and lying, as if the person is looking for an escape route in case they are found out.
Lateral movement can also happen when the person is being conspiratorial, as if they are checking that nobody else is listening.
Eyes may also move back and forth sideways (and sometimes up and down) when the person is visualizing a big picture and is literally looking it over.

#LYING

When people tell lies, there are four underlying mechanisms at work:
• Arousal: Lying causes anxiety and arousal, either because of dissonance at conflicting values and behavior, or due to fear of getting caught.
• Behavior control: We try to control body language that might give us away. In fact this is impossible and leakage often occurs, for example where we are controlling our face and our legs give us away.
• Emotion: Our emotions change when we are lying.
• Thinking: To lie, we usually have to think a lot harder, such as to ensure coherence in our arguments. This leads us to take longer in speaking with more pauses. We also tend to use more generalities to avoid getting trapped by specific detail.

*The reason why I included this portion is not to catch them lying but more of an elimination process. If none of this behavior arises during an interview, we can than assume (but loosely) that they are telling the truth*

Here are the most common female flirting body language signals and meanings, according to experts on the subject:
eye contact - anything more than a glance indicates initial interest.
eye catch and look away - establishing eye contact then looking away or down is said by many experts to be the standard initial signal of interest designed to hook male reaction. The reliability of the signal meaning is strengthened when repeated and/or reinforced with longer eye-contact.
eye-widening - interest, simultaneously increasing attractiveness/appeal.
eyelash flicker - subtle movement of eyelashes to widen eyes briefly.
pupil dilating - interest, liking what is seen, arousal.
looking sideways up - lowering head, slightly sideways, and looking up - also known as doe-eyes, with eyelashes normally slightly lowered - displays interest and vulnerability/coyness,
shoulder glance - looking sideways towards the target over the shoulder signals availability, and hence interest.
smiling - obvious sign of welcoming and friendliness.
moistening lips - lips are significant in signaling because (psychologists say) they mimic the female labia, hence the potency of red lipstick (suggesting increased blood flow) and moistening/licking the lips.
parted lips - significant and potent attraction signal.
preening - especially of hair, which exposes the soft underarm.
Male interest in females
Believe it or not, Most men are interested perpetually in most women. Male interest is basically always switched on and ready to respond to opportunity when female availability and interest are signaled and noticed. Men believe they take the lead, but actually mostly women do.
(HAHAHA- MEN; GO FIGURE!!!)
Male signals of interest in females essentially follow normal body language rules, for example widening eyes, dilated pupils, forward leaning, prolonged direct eye contact, active listening reactions, and these come into play once eye contact and/or proximity is established.

#ROMANCE/COURTSHIP

A significant cluster of body movements has to do with romance, signaling to a person of the opposite sex that you are interested in partnering with them.

From afar
From afar, the first task of body language is to signal interest (and then to watch for reciprocal body language).
Eyes
The eyes do much signaling. Initially and from a distance, a person may look at you for slightly longer than normal, then look away, then look back up at you, again for a longer period.
Preening
There are many preening gestures. What you are basically saying with this is 'I am making myself look good for you'. This includes tossing of the head, brushing hair with hand, polishing spectacles and brushing clothes.
Enacting
Remote romantic language may also include enactment of sexually stimulating activities, for example caressing oneself, for example stroking arms, leg or face. This may either say 'I would like to stroke you like this' or 'I would like you to stroke me like this'.
Similarly, the person (women in particular) may lick and purse their lips into a kiss shape and leave their mouth slightly open in imitation of sexual readiness.
Objects held may be also used in enactment displays, including cigarettes and wine glasses, for example rolling and stroking them.
Displaying
Attractive parts of the body may be exposed, thrust forward, wiggled or otherwise highlighted. For women this includes breasts, neck, bottom and legs. For men it includes a muscular torso, arms or legs, and particularly the crotch (note that women seldom do this).
Leaning
Leaning your body towards another person says 'I would like to be closer to you'. It also tests to see whether they lean towards you or away from you. It can start with the head with a simple tilt or may use the entire torso. This may be coupled with listening intently to what they say, again showing particular interest in them.
Pointing
A person who is interested in you may subtly point at you with a foot, knee, arm or head. It is effectively a signal that says 'I would like to go in this direction'.
Other displays
Other forms of more distant display that are intended to attract include:
• Sensual or dramatic dancing (too dramatic, and it can have the opposite effect).
• Crotch display, where (particularly male) legs are held apart to show off genitalia.
• Faked interest in others, to invoke envy or hurry a closer engagement.
• Nodding gently, as if to say 'Yes, I do like you.'
Up close
When you are close to the other person, the body language progressively gets more intimate until one person signals 'enough'.
Close in and personal
In moving closer to the other person, you move from social space into their personal body space, showing how you would like to get even closer to them, perhaps holding them and more...
Standing square-on to them also blocks anyone else from joining the conversation and signals to others to stay away.
Copying
Imitating the person in some way shows 'I am like you'. This can range from a similar body position to using the same gestures and language.
Lovers' gaze /Doe Eyes/Bedroom Eyes
When you are standing close to them, you will holding each other's gaze for longer and longer periods before looking away. You many also use what are called 'doe eyes' or 'bedroom eyes', which are often slightly moist and with the head inclined slightly down.
Where the eyes go is important. Looking at lips means 'I want to kiss'. Looking at other parts of the body may mean 'I want to touch'.
A very subtle signal that few realize is that the eyes will dilate such that the dark pupils get much bigger. This is one reason why dark-eyed people can seem attractive. Light-eyed people (typically blue) make the pupil easier to distinguish, so when their pupils do get bigger the signal they send is easier to read.
Touching
Touching signals even closer intimacy. It may start with 'accidental' brushing, followed by touching of 'safe' parts of the body such as arms or back.
Caressing is gentle stroking that may start in the safer regions and then stray (especially when alone) to sexual regions.

I also need to bring up a few things about verbal communication because I truly believe, there are signs involving our treasured couple. However, experts do not see this as a scientific study but merely as a footnote of interest.
• pitch (the contant musical note of the voice)
• pace (speed or rate of talking)
• volume variation (how volume changes in phrases or longer passages of speech)
• intonation and 'musicality' (how the pitch changes according to what is being said)
• timbre (quality or sound of the voice, and how this changes)
• emphasis (of syllables, words or phrases)
• pauses, silences and hesitation
• 'erm's and 'erh's

Ok enough of that. As and when the need arises we will quote the specific study of the particular body movement.

To the videos:



I see lovers gaze. Long eye contact as well as tilting of the head. I see Shin Hye eyes widening when looking at Sukkie. Preening and copying as well as sensual or dramatic dancing. Sukkie’s found every possible ways to touch and hold her. Also, personal space: expert says; Between 15-45cm of space is usually reserved for intimate relationships and close friendships. Within the intimate zone a person's senses of smell and touch (being touched) become especially exercised.
From What I can see, they sure could not be away from each other!…so tell me this… are they that friendly to each other or that good of an actor?


Did Sukkie lied when he was asked if Shin Hye was his ideal lady? It was an immediate YES no hesitation but he paused as if he realizes what he just said and started to laugh and fidget with his bracelet (B4 that he was very calm). This is called 'barrier' protective signal.-nervousness. Like, I got caught! Also, the comment about they are still young and possibility of love blossoming is very high, Sukkie answered without hesitation, no shifting of the eyes movement and how he emphasizes on the word YES. I do not know abt Korean language, but if it’s anything like any other language, emphasizing means you agree whole heartly! He also looked to teh left when ask if he has gone out on a date with Shin Hye..


Are those glances we see frm each other. Isn’t that head tilting frm Shin Hye. When Sukkie mentioned abt the seaweed bribe he looked to the left..he was recalling the conversation… Also Sukkie did a lot of lateral eye movement which I think means he was visualizing the big picture – Sukkie and Shin Hye on a road trip in Taiwan!!!



Need I say More! Sukkie walking towards her, invading her personal space, touching Shin Hye and the kiss, he actually did want to. but we are still Asians…and look at Shin Hye, she did not break eye contact…Also note the dancing and the copying!


Actually, Shin Hye’s hand gesture, one across her body while holding on to sukkie is a 'barrier' protective signal.-nervousness. But the small dance in the beginning and the way she called Sukkie’s name - low pitch and the look she gave him. Signs?

We should also look at George…does he have the signs of flirting with Shin Hye?

Expert says :leg direction, sitting in general means attentiveness (according to direction) Generally a seated person directs their knee or knees towards the point of interest. The converse is true also - legs tend to point away from something or someone which is uninteresting or threatening. The rule applies with crossed legs also, where the upper knee indicates interest or disinterest according to where it points. The more direct and obvious the position, the keener the attraction or repellent feeling.
Looks like Sukkie was going to dump his whole leg onto Shin Hye!!!

The smiler has a secret they are not going to share, possibly due to dislike or distrust. Can also be a rejection signal.
