In MBC’s “Section TV” program’s feature on new generation Hallyu actors, Park Shin Hye revealed that she has met Jang Geun Suk’s mother, and that the older woman has expressed her wish for Park to be her daughter-in-law.


Jang and Park paired up in the 2009 SBS drama “You’re Beautiful.” Jang’s prickly A.N.Jell band leader Hwang Tae Kyung and Park’s nun-turned-idol Go Mi Nyu, masquerading as her twin brother Mi Nam, received much love and achieved a solid and devoted fan base.


The drama also became a hit abroad, spawning its own version in Japan, and gaining even more international recognition for the two actors, as well as other A.N.Jell members Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Ki.


The two young stars are currently busy with separate projects: Jang shot “You’re My Pet,” a movie opposite Kim Ha Neul, and has announced a Japan promotional tour with Moon Geun Young for their 2010 drama “Mary Stayed Out All Night.” Park is in the midst of MBC’s youth melodrama “Heartstrings,” co-starring with Jung. Despite their individual activities, they are reported to have shown a close friendship by keeping up a friendly atmosphere during the interview.

Park Shinhye confessed that Jang Geun Suk's mother wants her to become her daughter-in-law. On July 31, MBC's "Section TV" aired an episode of a meeting with two new Hallyu stars that are gaining more popularity in Japan: Jang Geun Suk and Park Shinhye.

Jang Geun Suk and Park Shinhye explained that they are good friends in reality and that they found that they work well together in filming.

In response to the claim that Jang Geun Suk's mom seems to dote upon Park Shinhye a lot, Park Shinhye stated that this is true. She also said, "When I met with his mom once, she held my hand tightly and said that she wanted me as her daughter-in-law." However, she also explained that no male star has told her she is cool, with the exception of male star Wonbin.

In other news, Jang Geun Suk and Park Shinhye seemed to show off their close friendship with their constant goofing around together.

On July 31st, the "Section TV" also aired stories on Jang Geun Suk's Chinese fan episode, along with his explanation of how to use a camera to take pictures in a way that makes your head look smaller.
