I hope the ratings aren't affecting Shin Hye and Yonghwa. I hope they know that there are so many international fans supporting them and that there are tons of netizens watching this series even if there isn't that much support in Korea. I really hope they win netizens' award for this drama!

Actually, I like Heartstrings for what it has to offer...(i'm very picky when it comes to Kdrama, btw)
It's not the tearjerker, oh you rock my world type of drama but it kinda makes you want to
watch the next episode esp. now with its twists and turns...
I would say that Yonghwa and Shin Hye succeeded in making us giddy for this youth melodrama
I'm thankful that the reviews/recaps in Dramabeans have been more positive than negative
despite the single digit ratings (which I expected coz Korean viewership is so "ahjumma" driven)

I am a GS shipper but Yonghwa is such a great guy that whenever I watch HS
it makes me wish that if it can't be Sukkie and Hacci, then it should be him and Hacci.
Though I know that based on the BTS of HS, he and Shin Hye are really comfortable
with each other as friends...and I hope even after HS, they continue to be such...

@ sis elankham: kamsamida for the yongshin pics! Can't help but comment on how beautiful and flawless Shin Hye's skin looks. Wish my skin was half as nice as hers! The pics inevitably remind me of the BTS. SOOOO hilarious that the seatbelt was stuck!

@trix: In answer to when Lee Shin and Kyu Won started to fall in love...Their love story truly began in episode 6 which the producers called the "turning point" of the series. Lee Shin had finally gotten over Professor Jung, who he had a one-sided love for for an extremely long time. I'm not really sure as to how he suddenly got over her but after the rain, it was as if Lee Shin woke up and confronted reality that his love for the professor would remain unrequited. Therefore, his attention started focusing on Kyu Won, who he had pushed away and treated harshly before but who was the sole girl who watched him from behind while he was in pain and in love with someone else. He started to realize he had something for Kyu Won when she told him she no longer liked him. The lesson here is that you only appreciate how precious the person near you is until you lose that person. Thankfully, Lee Shin did not lose Kyu Won forever since she is so soft-hearted but I would have liked it if KW treated LS badly for a while longer since he deserved it. I won't go into too many details so catch the first 6 chaps to see what I mean!

@Rosie: Nice seeing you again! I am very much like you too! I am extremely picky about watching kdramas and I am gonna say that I am not very receptive to changing how I feel about an artist. It's either I do/don't like an artist. It takes A LOT to change my mind. I guess first impressions are just so important to me. I definitely base a k-drama first and foremost on who the actors are. Even if I like one of them, I will give it a stab because chances are, I end up liking all the cast by the end of the show. That was exactly how it was with YAB. Saw Shin Hye was in it. Had no idea who the other guys were. After YAB, loved SH and he other ANJELLs to death. In terms of HS, I am definitely enjoying it more and more as I watch it, and I think it will end on chapter 15 due to the ratings unfortunately. I have to say though that the storyline isn't the strongest and of course, this is the fault of the scriptwriters, not any of th actors' fault. It took too long for LS to get over his professor (6 chapters!) and there was too little focus on LS-KW relationship initially. Because of the slow development, they couldn't develop the love triangle between LS-Ki Young-KW which I would have LOVED to see since I think KY's character is awesome. So I feel he was a wasted character. And when I read about the story when it was first being promoted, I was thinking that this show would talk about the different phases in life because it was about people who had aspirations and wanted to achieve their goals. However, all that has been focused on is the centennial performance. So the downside, from my POV, of this drama is the weak storyline. But of course, I still love it. I will have to accept that this is not that "breakthrough role" that I have been waiting for Shin Hye to get so she can cement herself in the acting industry, but I shall continue to wait!
