Lee Ki Woo Butts Heads With Park Shin Hye In Intense First Scene Of “Doctors”

Actor Lee Ki Woo will be kicking off the first episode of SBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Doctors” with Park Shin Hye in an intense ER scene.

The actor appears straight from scene one as a mob boss, a severely injured one who isn’t happy with his female doctor, Hye Jung (Park Shin Hye). He has his lackeys create a scene in search of a male doctor. Hye Jung channels her inner rebel and handles the situation with a presence to match the boss’s, and later resides over his surgery.

According to a report, this will not be Lee Ki Woo’s only appearance in the drama; he will be a key character in the drama. A member of the production staff said, “He’s a character who opens the drama, and is a patient that will become a point of discussion in the development of the drama, so we wanted to cast a good actor for the part. Director Oh Choong Hwan remembered an actor from tvN that had left an impression with his acting, so the director personally sought [Lee Ki Woo] out to offer the part, which he took after several approaches.”

The first episode of “Doctors” airs at 10 p.m. KST tonight, Monday, June 20.
