Liz, does this "worrying" n family arrangement thingy applied to everyone, whats bout idol?

i think there's actress/actor/singer in d industry married rite? d they married by family arrangement or, they r lucky enuf to meet someone which their parents approve of?

i've seen it here and there. coffee prince had a scene with gong yoo meeting girls, but that was with a comedic angle.

well, that's kdrama for you. everyone dreams of wanting to end up with the person they love. matchmaking is done all the time, there is no hidden cultural trait. everyone knows it's there.

The ladies were teasing that at that point he didn't need "mama jang"... and then he explained and they teased him that he was intending to marry Shin Hye but that he'll be dating for now... and then after his explanation, he had to fan himself (i guess he was hyperventilating then).... why would a boy hyperventilate if it meant nothing, right?

From the looks of it, since JS is open enough to announce that mama Jang "loves" SH and mama Jang not denying it , i assume that mama Jang already spoke to SH's parents? if its true then its our Girl whose hesitating?

now i get it why JS mention "SH and I have a special relationship" this must be it. I hope it is.

as i google thru, there r Korean stars n idols getting married.. so, its permit for them to hv a normal life; married someone they love n hv a happy life! for an example, last year, Lee Sun Gyun (Coffee Prince) has married to his wife after 6 yrs courtship.

edit: recently, Korean star Go So Young released her wedding photo with hubby Jang Dong Gun, their wedding reception will b in May.. n she's 3 mths preggy now..!

if mama jang will approve of shin hye. and i dont think shin hye shin hye will say no. so there can be a chance that sukkie and shin hye will get married.

yes, it is very intimidating, nervewracking experience. all eyes are on you so you feel very uncomfortable even though on the exterior you appear composed & you manage to smile. SH hasn't gone to his place yet because there really hasn't been a reason for her to. after she meets his mom in Japan, mama Jang will formally invite her. good timing.

the idols you mention also have parents that worry, but you have to understand something. many of them come from poor families. many do not go on to college. this is their ticket out of that poverty. so what's the trade off? well i think the parents will just accept financial security over marriage. it isn't as big a problem for the guys as it is for the girls. how many idol girls do you know of who got married recently?

actors seem to have more freedom to marry whom they chose, but bottom line, mom has to agree cos if she doesn't, life can be hell.

they can't force you to marry, but they will definitely discourage you from marrying someone that they disapprove of. i've seen that happen.

if they end up marrying, it is because SH has his mom's stamp of approval.
