no mama jang hasn't spoken to SH' parents yet. i'm certain of that. the most likely scenario is it will be awhile before she talks to them. KS would meet her parents then the moms will speak over the phone, more of an introduction. Eventually they will suggest dining together. this is slighlty different because the circumstances are not the same. but i can imagine how uncomfortable both KS & SH will feel at that moment. neither are on stage, neither are performing. both are there as themselves as family members look on.

I think both families in this case are not poor.
The two are still in college.. Just out of their 20s. And KS has not even serve his army yet.
Their careers are of the entertainment kind so I highly doubt they will be pressured to marry any time soon.

But to get a natural match... implying "a match made in heaven" ... is definitely not common.
So I guess the mom would like to 'reserve' the girl if possible hahaha.

And yes I think the timing to go on a FM together is awfully perfect.
But I must say SH must be very overwhelmed by this. She's just becoming an adult, gotten to know some new friends, made a few buddies and out of the blue, a close friend's mom wants to meet her with the implications of marriage...

Can someone confirm if the staff of JGS said that he has a girlfriend during YAB but they have now broken up?

I'm so confused because:

1) we can see in BTS that they are flirting (bed scene, etc), if he had a gf...is correct by JGS do it? Any respect for his gf? If PSH also knows...why she didn't stop him?

2) the ring...I have seen that he wear the ring until CN BLue showcase (14.01)...so I think that this ring a simple complement. And at date 17.01 PSH updated her cyworl with a supposed picture of JGS with the lines "must hide"

3) but during filming he was texting someone nonstop...mmmmm

I think that if he really had a girlfriend during YAB there are a lot of contradictions:

1) why, if not, his mother goes to a fortune-teller?
2)can he broke up and fall in love so fast our PSH?
2)maybe he brokes up with the other because he likes a lot PSH?

So sorry, but with the flirtings in BTS, he texting a lot, mum likes PSH, Hongki explains that JGS said "so sad" (Etude house advertising) and seems that he knows something...don't you think is all so confusing?

His mom is concern about her only son, only child's marriage. (he's 23 afterall....) To go check the fortune teller if she thinks there's a girl she wants him to consider or if he's going out with is not unusual if she has a habit to see fortunetellers... its a kind of culture in some asian countries ... she may have checked other girls that he has gone out with before.

All the idols wear alot of rings... its hard to guess what and what until they choose to FLASH it to us haha.
I think SH took the photo secretly and her 'must hide' probably meant, cannot let him know about it?
I don't think too much of that because it felt like she's pranking him.

Actually in the BTS, they seemed more like fooling around and playing than really flirting. Maybe some scenes they got too close and starts to confuse the viewers.. But I think its the result of having to be in each others company for 24/7 x 60days.. The group became so close its possible the usual gender difference proprieties got blurred.

KS has the tease devil in him... he found out about SH behind the ear sensitiveness (probably from EH Cf times) and likes to tease her. They know there are cameras on them and there are people eyes on them.

But KS probably can't help himself. He's like a kid who likes to see a girl squirm after pulling a prank.... which makes me think he does like her somehow... there's some truth in the "boys always like to prank on girls they fancy" saying...

As much as we fans can spazz, I think they have the good sense not to behave out of bounds in front of the whole crew
Won't know about it when they're out on their own though...

I've seen that part at Coffee Prince where Gong Yoo was supposed to go to a match-making date. I also saw that in 9 ends, 2 outs ... where both Soo Ae and Jung Jin played roles in their 30's and were pretty much going thru the same matchmaking process. You're right, those who end up with people they actually like are really blessed. If Sukkie and Shin Hye do end up together in the future, it's a relief to know that they, at the very least, like each other and communicate well, as we have seen so far.

It brings a smile to my face to bring past encounters up again. I know we have somehow talked about it here before, probably on the first few pages of 8790. The thread was then named Park Shin Hye - Jang Geun Suk: YB's couple. It has evolved into 8790 somewhere along the way, signalling that we are not only talking about them in terms of YB here, not as TaeNyu, but seeing them as KS2H, 8790.
