Kim Byeol and Song Joong-ki are selected as Polaroid camera models



Actress Kim Byeol and actor Song Joong-ki worked together in a CF of an instant camera company.

Kim Byeol showed a friendly image with Song Joong-ki for a CF of an instant camera called Fuji Instax from Fuji Film.

In the CF, Kim Byeol showed her girl-like emotional side with concept of 'first love'; her lively expression helped to deliver the message.

People who saw this CF commented, “All I can say for Kim Byeol is that she is really pretty”, “I really envy Kim Byeol who is chosen by 'Pretty Joong-ki', Song Joong-ki”, and “They make a really cute couple.”

On the other hand, Kang Sil-hwang section chief from Fuji Film reveals the reason for this seletion. He said, “We choose Kim Byeol because of her cute and lovely image. We thought she can well deliver the emotion of girls in their 20's, which is Instax's main target. From the collaboration with Song Joong-ki, we though the charm of Instax will be efficiently delivered.”

Sungkyunkwan ends on a high, Giant approaches 30%




It may have not enjoyed a ratings bonanza, but KBS’s Sungkyunkwan Scandal has surely earned the designation of being a hot mania property (not unlike last year’s youth sensation You’re Beautiful), and the fusion-historical-romantic-comedy series ended with a 12.8% rating on Tuesday.

It’s not a spectacular number, but a solid one that managed to double the drama’s premiere ratings of 6.3%. For a while there it looked as though Sungkyunkwan would find itself stuck in single-digit territory, sandwiched between two heavy hitters (MBC’s Dong Yi, SBS’s Giant), but the finale of the former allowed this little gem to crack into double-digits.

I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say this, but [NOT-REALLY-A-SPOILER ALERT] the drama ended happily with its 20th episode, and thankfully, none of our Joseon Quartet were sacrificed in the process. (You didn’t really think they kill off show-stealer Moon Jae-shin, right?) [/SPOILER]

Meanwhile, Giant stopped just short of breaking the 30% mark with a 29.8%, while Queen of Reversals stayed solidly at 11%. The latter had been hoping for a much stronger run than it’s had thus far, given Queen of Housewives’ runaway success last year, but despite sharing a similarly cute, fast-paced vibe, Reversals hasn’t managed to tap into that special somethin’ to propel it to the same heights. (Although the most obvious answer might be the simplest: There’s no Tae-bong!)




I just about to start watch it at KBSW. Not happy with writer comment comparing with YAB. YAB last year was compete with giant IRIS.
Anyway, all main cast of YAB are hot mania property at these moment... hehehe.

[REVIEW] KBS TV series "SungKyunKwan Scandal" - Finale Episode

It was a dream I did not want to wake up from, something I have not felt for some time. By now it will be a waste of breathe to go on about how well the drama portrayed the friendship, love and lessons among young scholars, how well it incorporated serious political themes into the story and such. But to quote heroine Yoon-hee's words that "people can get lost amid dizzy tracks in life and forget what they originally came for" as happened to many good dramas in the past, let us check whether that had not happened to this drama in regards to its initial theme and message of hope.

"Sungkyunkwan Scandal" was outstanding in the sense that even as it talked about an ideal society, it never turned its back on reality either. That was why every step taken by Kim Yoon-hee (played by Park Min-yeong) and her three gang members, the "Jalgeum" foursome, wavered and was filled with agony just like a compass needle that wobbles before pointing to a direction. Nothing was ever done in a sure stride.

If King Jeongjo had focused single-mindedly on finding "Geumdeungjisa", the memoirs of his grandfather King Yeong-jo that expressed regrets for executing his son Crown Prince Sado (also King Jeongjo's father) which would have left everyone happy, it could have been a clean-cut way to end the story, yet it would have also missed the real point to the story as well as ignore the historical facts. But the drama also gave the determined Jeongjo time to doubt himself. And thanks to this plotline, the king's dream of rebuilding Joseon anew was never realized but gave birth to another dream that could have been ruined in the process of pursuing the former.

To dream is a word that is in the present tense, not something that has been completed. Thus despite the unexpected ending scene that left many youngsters feeling anxious, the real story is not over for Joseon and the young scholars at SungKyunKwan Academy. The learning process simply goes on. After all, do we not all want to keep remembering their dreams and dream of them?

Actor Song Joong Ki and actress Kim Byul have teamed up to model for Fujifilm’s polaroid camera, “INSTAX”.

Captioned “The only story of ours in this world”, the CF for the product casted the pair as love interests who document their romantic story with snapshots from the Fujifilm camera.

The CF started airing on the 1st and is already gaining many compliments from the actors’ fans.


Fans commented, “Kim Byul is so pretty, that’s all I can say,” “Handsome man and beautiful girl meet,” “This reminds me of my first love,” and “If my model was Kim Byul, I would take many more pictures to take them home.”

The company’s marketing rep said, “Kim Byul’s cute and lovely image will target our consumers who are in their 20’s. The two will model the item well.”

May I repeat myself again, this korean drama: Sungkyunkang Scandal is one drama that I enjoyed tremendously, not only with each character's portrayals (which is by the way my hat's off) I love the youngsters, "Jangeum" scholars. I love how the storyline went. and I couldn't put it any other way. well said .....

Song Joong Ki reveals the “four kinds of Goo Yong Ha”

‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal‘ actor Song Joong Ki recently revealed pictures he took of the ‘Four kinds of Goo Yong Ha’ during his time on set.

On November 4th, Song Joong Ki’s agency, Sidus HQ, uploaded various pictures of the actor doing typical poses of his character Goo Yong Ha.

In the photos, you can see Song Joong Ki winking, holding his infamous fan, as well as holding a placard that reads his trademark saying, “Cause I’m Goo Yong Ha”.

Netizens responded positively with, “The funniest guy, Goo Yong Ha!”, “I was sad when the drama ended, but I laughed a whole lot after seeing this”, “I’m touched by his fan service.”

Song also revealed his thoughts through his me2day, “The 20th episode has ended. You guys are sad too, right? I’m really sad too. I learnt so much from this, and it was a very fun and happy five months. It has been a very meaningful time, being able to meet Yong Ha, so it’s sad that we have to part.”

However, he added, “But even if the drama has ended, I think parts of Yong Ha will still be with me. I send my deepest thanks to all the viewers who have sent so much love.”
