City Hunter’s Lee Min Ho shines again just like in the days of Boys over Flower




Through SBS’s drama series City Hunter, Lee Min Ho has come into his own just like in the days of Boys over Flower.

Before its closing, MBC’s The Best Love ranked no. 1 on viewer ratings. However, City Hunter replaced the ranking and now, aims to mark over 20% of viewer ratings.

Lee Min Ho, the center of attention in the series, is playing a big role in making such a progress.

Lee debuted in KBS’s drama series Boys over Flower in 2009. It was a big hit, but Lee hasn’t come up to expectations in MBC’s Personal Taste last year. However, he regained his reputation through City Hunter.

After being casted for City Hunter, Lee has been going to the action school for the series. His perfect action scenes and his ways of acting caught viewers’ hearts regardless of their sex.

Lee’s agency Starhaus says on June 30, “Lee is showing a particular affection for this series. He’s trying his best to live up to his title as an actor.”

I think that CH will reach 30% ratings! I swear, every week when I watch this drama, I feel like I am going to have a heart attack because every episode is so suspenseful! Episode 11 just scared me to death! For a moment, I thought Nana was going to die but there is NO way they will remove the main actress halfway through the show. I love how Nana saved Yun Sung, and how she blocked the bullet for him. Anyways, well done LMH and PMY!

SBS “City Hunter” rises to No. 1 on primetime chart

SBS series “City Hunter” finally took the No. 1 spot on the Wednesdays and Thursdays’ primetime chart, according to the results of two media research companies on Friday.

“City Hunter,” starring Lee Min-ho, Park Min-young and Lee Jun-hyuk became the winner amongst its competitors for the first time after scoring average viewership rating of 17.8 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) chart and 18.6 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll, the number improving by about three to four percentage points in average compared to last week.

The drama about the story of young
man raised to seek revenge against five corrupt politicians who are responsible for the death of his father and his colleagues, is based on a popular Japanese comic of the same name by Tsukasa Hojo and stands as its prequel, with newly added details such as his first love and the whereabouts of his mother.


KBS’s “Romance Town” moved up in ranking as well after posting average viewership ratings of 9.9 percent on TNmS’ survey and 11.5 percent on AGB’s report.
The drama headed by Sung Yu-ri, Jung Gyu-woon, Km Min-joon and Min Hyo-lyn which begins with the story of a young maid of a rich household who wins a 10 billion won lottery one day, shows how people can be swayed by money amid her love for conglomerate’s son alongside stories of her other maid friends.


New MBC drama “Heartstrings” starring Jung Yong-hwa from boy band CNBLUE and actress Park Shin-hye finished last after yielding average marks of 5.8 percent and 7.2 percent on TNmS and AGB’s chart, respectively.

“Heartstrings” also starring Song Chang-eui and So E-hyun, will portray a budding romance on a school campus between the lead guitarist of the school's band Lee Shin (played by Jung) and genius gagyageum-player (Korean traditional 12-string zither) Gyu-won (Park) as well as rekindled love between the young professors who teach them.

Lee Min Ho falls asleep while doing an action scene

SBS’s drama series City Hunter, Lee Min Ho plays Lee Yoon Seong, the agent of Nation Roadmap Information Network. Therefore, spectacular action scenes are absolutely necessary for his character.

On July 1, actor Lee Min Ho featured a scene where he gets hit and falling on the ground. The director announced “okay” for the scene, but Lee Min Ho did not get up: He fell asleep on the ground.

The staffs say, “Action scene is the most important scene and we shoot it for the last because it requires a lot of energy. So the scene is often shot at dawn. Also, the actors are getting only two hours of sleep recently due to a busy schedule. We were scared when Lee did not get up, but when we discovered that he was asleep, we all burst into a laughter.”

Lee Min Ho’s agency Starhaus says, “The staff of the series, including the actors, directors, and scrip writers all get along well with each other and work in perfect harmony. As Lee Min Ho shows a particular affection for this series, he is happily acting out the scenes although he is very tired by his schedule.

The series City Hunter is ranking the first in viewers ratings with the closure of MBC’s The Best Love.

Anyways, Episode 12 is by far my favorite chapter. Nana and Yoon Sung finally "got together" but I am not sure how long that is going to last. Also, I love the scene when Nana, Ajushi, and Yoon Sung teamed up to carry out the mission!

I understand your fear too!! I am afraid that either Yoon Sung or Nana will die. I feel like his mother will die though. It's so unfair because Yoon Sung has always wanted a mom for 28 years and I can't even imagine how his mom is feeling, waiting for her child for 28 years. I feel like Nana may die because she still has to "save" Yoon Sung again since he saved her twice but then that's also not fair because Yoon Sung will lose the person he loves so dearly. Sigh. I DUNNO! I just want a happy ending!

I think Min Ho and Min Young should totally win for best couple this year!! Their chemistry is soo electrifying!

Like true professionals, they make the time to perfect their crafts by replaying and re-watching their scenes despite their busy schedules.
