Lee Min Ho’s Agency Explains the Actor’s Recent Gambling Rumor


Another scandal about Lee Min Ho came up in China, taking him and many of his fans by surprise.

A photo along with a caption that read, ‘Lee Min Ho is gambling’ spread across SNS accounts in China, leading to his gambling scandal.

The photo shows Lee Min Ho playing a game in a casino, without caring much about the presence of those around him. The photo led many Chinese netizens and Korean press to question whether Lee Min Ho was gambling.

However, Lee Min Ho’s agency explained, “He went to the casino during a short break he had when he went to New Zealand for a commercial filming in the middle of this month. The place is a legal place, connected to a shopping mall and a café, and the money used for the game was equivalent to the price of a beverage.”

“The place is visited by many retired or married couples. It’s legal for any adult to enter, and Lee Min Ho was there along with the other staff members. If he was gambling with a large sum of money, he wouldn’t have enjoyed playing games in an open area where everyone could see him,” stressed the agency rep.

off-topic...I don't understand some Korean laws... but they are strict with gambling.... even online gambling means penalty/jail time. Some well-known tv Korean celebrities/personalities are now embroiled in that scandal... like Sinhwa's Andy, Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Soo-geun,Tony An, TV host Boom and comedian Yang Sae Hyung.
