[Interview] Yoon Shi Yoon Wants to Pour Out His Passion Before Going to the Army



Yoon Shi Yoon revealed his plans to enlist in the army.

In a recent interview with Newsen, Yoon Shi Yoon revealed his plans to pour everything out before he enlists in the army, which he compared to taking a trip.

In the drama press conference for Prime Minister and I, which took place last December 23, the actor said, “I think I will be going to the army next year. Before I go to the army, I want to act passionately, showing whatever I’m capable of in acting.”

Planning to enlist in the army this year, the actor said again, “I want to pour out as much as I can.”

“I haven’t been able to show much, but I want to show as much as I can before taking the trip,” said Yoon Shi Yoon, who compared the army to taking a trip, since it’s an opportunity to see many things.

When asked how many projects he’s planning on doing before committing to his duties in the army, the actor said, “The number of projects is not the most important thing. If I come across a good project, then I will do my best in filming, but if I don’t, then I would just have to prepare myself more.”

“I believe the right timing will come,” concluded the actor.

Yoon Shi Yoon Awaits Enlistment Results After Applying for the Marine Corps

With rumors floating around that he’s enlisting in April, Yoon Shi Yoon cleared the air about his upcoming military duties.

On March 4, Yoon Shi Yoon’s agency stated in a press release that the reports saying the actor will be enlisting in April are false.



“After the conclusion of KBS’ Prime Minister and I, Yoon Shi Yoon applied for the Marine Corps and is currently awaiting the results. We’ll officially announce the enlistment date when it comes.”

“As a healthy young man of South Korea, Yoon Shi Yoon has shown strong will to serve in the military. As he is a bit older than the normal soldier and it is a national duty that should be carried out, he’s hoping for a quiet enlistment to not cause inconvenience to the other soldiers.”

According to the agency, Yoon Shi Yoon will be carrying out his activities until his enlistment date comes.

Yoon Si Yoon and Yeo Jin Goo's film 'Professional Mr. Baek' will finally make its way to theaters on April 3!



'Professional Mr. Back' portrays the story of a famous professional golfer Baek Se Jin (Yoon Si Yoon) who loses everything after a drunk-driving accident and ends up training six students, including the school's representative troublemaker Lee Byung Joo (Yeo Jin Goo), to save their school from being closed down.

The movie entered crank-in back in 2011 and will finally premiere three years later. Yoon Si Yoon, Yeo Jin Goo, Park Sang Mun, Chun Ho Jin, Lee Kyung Young, Lee Byung Jun, and Lee Won Jong will bring laughs and touch hearts with the inspirational story.

Here's the video on YSY appearance in variety show "Happy Together" with castmates of "Prime Minister and I" He was hilarious!


I watched the "Barefoot friends" when they did the challenge to dive and it's amazing how the casts... some of them actually does not swim or have not dived ever! succeeded in completing. YSY for one.. was pitiful at first because he really does not know how to swim. He took up the challenge and even practiced hours before the filming so he could improve and be able to dive so many feet up the diving board(s). But not after the painful splash into the water (stomach first)

It is interesting that Yoon Si Yoon and, Yeo Jin Goo's movie, "Profession Mr. Baek" will finally show in theaters! I thought that movie was already shown in Korea... but wow, 2 years past and it will be out in April.

Oh nooooss, he may be one of the adorable hotties who will have to serve in the military soon! huhuhu
