KUALA LUMPUR: Popular South Korean actor Kim Rae Won attracted more than 5,000 fans to his meet-and-greet event at Pavilion KL yesterday. Though scheduled for 7.30pm, some fans arrived as early as 9.30am for the event, organised by Korean entertainment channel ONE HD. Kim was flown in last Sunday to promote ONE HD’s K-drama Doctors, in which he stars alongside popular actress Park Shin Hye. His flight to Malaysia had been delayed for three hours, so he admitted to feeling exhausted. Still, the 35 year-old was all smiles as he greeted his screaming fans. Kim was visibly overwhelmed as he took in the huge crowd. “Nama saya Kim Rae Won. I’m really surprised to see lots of fans here today. Terima kasih,” the actor gushed with a grin. “It’s my first time visiting Malaysia. Thank you for coming,” he added. Doctors, which ended its run recently, was one of the highest-rated drama series across all Korean channels in Malaysia and Singapore. In the romantic drama, Kim plays a neurosurgeon-turned-teacher, Hong Ji Hong, who takes Hye Jung (Park) under his wing and becomes her mentor. Under his guidance, Hye Jung puts her past behind her in order to become just as successful. When it premiered in June, the drama became an immediate hit and propelled ONE HD to the top spot on Astro’s ratings list during its telecast slot, charting eight times higher than other Korean channels combined. “I never anticipated that this drama would receive such a huge success. Right after filming it, I was busy with another acting project, so I didn’t get to witness viewers’ reception to it. “Now that I’ve come to Malaysia and seen all of you here showing your love and support, I can see how much people love Doctors,” said Kim, who will fly home today. Besides signing autographs and taking photographs with lucky fans at the fanmeet, Kim also played judge for a game in which fans had to re-enact romantic scenes in the series. Kim, who made his screen debut in 1997, is known for his impressive acting resume and charismatic and award-winning onscreen presence. He has starred in films including Gangnam Blues and Insadong Scandal, and drama series such as Punch, Gourmet and Love Story In Harvard.
'Prison' villain Han Seok-gyu and Kim Rae-won, this combination waited (comprehensive)
Han Seok-gyu became the absolute villain, and Kim Rae-won became the police officer. Actors Han Seok-gyu and Kim Rae-won both met in the act. It is 'Prison'.
The movie 'Prison' (director Na Hyeon, the production Kuro Holdings) is a criminal action film by the guys who are going to the world in jail, their absolute king and the newly imprisoned former police. I started out with the idea that the prison became a hotbed of huge crime.
"I suddenly came up with an idea one day," Naehyeon said in a film production meeting held at the CGV Apgujeong, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, If the likely suspect in the case was a prisoner in prison, I wondered if there was a more obvious alibi. I decided to write a new prison movie, "he said.
"I had to cover it, but it was not easy to cover the prison. However, I refer to various materials, records, and documentaries. "The scenario took about two weeks and I wrote the draft. At that time, I thought, 'I am a genius,' but it took me two years to fix it. I had quenching for a long time. I do not think there was a good scenario. "
Han Seok-gyu plays the perfect villain for the first time since his debut. One of the plays played by Han Seok-gyu is the absolute prince of the prison, who is the prime commander of the prisoner and the guards are under his feet.
Han Seok-gyu said, "After reading the scenario, the feeling was 'It's hard to be true.' I thought it was not my clothes. I was afraid of director Na Na. It was instinctively fearful. But as a performer, I also have a challenging mind. "It was the result of working on the spot while listening to a lot of stories and listening."
"I have a distinctive tone. It has the advantage of familiarity with the audience, but it also has disadvantages. I wanted to be a big disadvantage for the people who got accustomed to my vocals. I found a way to compensate. "
"I wanted to show the antagonist that overwhelmed the entire movie. I think of Han Seok-gyu as a bold person, "said Han Seok-gyu," I have a reliable, intelligent and gentle image. I tried to pull out the other side of the face.
In fact, Kim Rae Won survived in prison. He struggled with the people he had sent to prison and had to struggle with a gaggle while standing on the water.
Finally, director Nae-hyun said, "The movie is fun to watch a new story, but there is also a pleasure to see an actor. "I am lucky to have been working with such great actors," he said.
