CNBLUE Ready to Hit Thailand with a BLUE STORM!





CNBLUE, like many Korean artists, has visited Thailand several times, but we have never seen their full concert LIVE. Recently, they officially announced their second Asia Tour, “CNBLUE 2011 ASIA TOUR CONCERT ‘BLUESTORM’”. Of course, our home was considered as one of their important stages in the tour schedule of these 4 men. By this, fans get excited, happy, and we speed up the date and time for the ticket reservation because no one would want to miss this first full concert!

The music journey of these young four men, the Korean rock band ‘CNBLUE’, which consists of Jung YongHwa, Lee JongHyun, Lee Jungshin, and Kang MinHyuk, is becoming increasingly prominent and hotter these day. They are a Korean band, of whom can be assumed to be very popular in Asia. There are a large number of fans supporting them in every country.

Recently, they have aroused interest and buzz in the Japanese music industry by making a record, selling out ‘Mezamashi Live’ tickets in just 1 minute, performed live at the Summer Rock Festival ‘ONGAKU TO HIGETACHI 2011-Message’ with more than 15,000 audience. On September 4, Japanese online store “Rakuten Ichiba” updated their site with CNBLUE’s upcoming major debut Single entitled “In My Head”.

CNBLUE Japan Major Debut Single will be released on October 19. The Limited Edition comes complete with “In My Head” MV and Off-Shots (Behind The Scenes aka BTS). Apart from the DVD, it also contains a 52-pages luxurious photobooklet, complete with original jacket and sleeve case.

CNBLUE to go major in Japan on October 19

CNBLUE will go major in Japan on October 19, in some two years since making their debut in the country's indie scene.

The news came through a press release by their agency FNC Music, while adding that their debut in the major scene, to be headed by Warner Music Japan, will be marked by the release of a single album named "In my head."

Their departure from the indie scene had been expected -- they had announced in the summer that they will release their last indie album "392," also the boys' second full-length album, which debuted at third place on the prestigious Oricon chart on the day of its release on September 1.

Their other releases in Japan, since their debut in the country in August 2009, had fared well on charts as well, placing as high as No. 1 on Oricon's weekly indie singles chart with their second single "I don't know why" last September to gain the reputation as one of the most anticipated indie bands to go major in Japan.

CNBLUE, which stands for Code Name Blue, has been a successful and popular band in the K-pop scene as well where they made a debut in early 2010.

The boys will hold their concert in Korea titled "BLUESTORM" which will take place at Seoul's Olympic Hall on September 17 and 18 and will then hold their last concert as an Indie band in Japan at the Yokohama Arena on August 25.

[INTERVIEW] Jung Yonghwa in The Suit House Catalog




Q: It has been 6 months since we last saw you. How do you feel about shooting for “The Suit House” catalog?

YH:I’m so glad. I have been with Suit House for 4 seasons. So I feel comfortable even though I haven’t met them in a long time. When I met the stylist, Mr. Lee Han Wook a few days ago, I feel like it was a reunion with my friend.
Q: In “Heartstrings” you were ‘the most beloved guy’ (완소남), whom every woman falls in love with, what are the qualification to be ‘the most beloved guy’?

YH: Shin was very chic and cold so he was also called ‘cold city man’. On the other hand he was a romantic guy who gives his love and heart to only one girl. Those who work hard and put effort and passion to what they like to do and those who give it all for their passion. Isn’t that (the qualification to be) the most beloved guys?



Q: Shin’s fashion was a hot issue. What is the Shin’s unique style?

YH: He was a smart student so he wore traditional blazers and jackets. Most of products from Suit House are traditional and go well with Shin’s style.

Q: What was the best style among all that Shin wore in Heartstrings?

YH: Basic pants, white jacket and casual backpack are the best for me. It’s my favourite outfit in real life.

Q: What was the most memorable episode during this catalog filming?

YH: The concept is “Great Gatsby”. So I watched the movie and were told about it. The movie was so impressive. ( I hope you all will watch it soon.) I thought about movie and had feeling about it during filming. But It seems like I have been into it too much. The photographer teased me that I have fallen into 1920’s days.

Q: Please give some words to fans that are look forward to YongHwa, gentleman of Suit house.

YH: I tried my best to bring out the emotion and feeling of the concept “ Great Gatsby” into the filming. I’m satisfied with the result that looks visually awesome. (laugh) Please look forward to The Suit House’s new and changed style, and to new and upgraded CNBLUE as well.

CNBLUE announces tour date in Thailand

Korean rock band CNBLUE has announced their concert date in Thailand set to be part of their upcoming Asia tour.

An official from their agency FNC Music told 10Asia over the phone on Wednesday that CNBLUE will take the stage at the Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand on November 19 although the date may change.

"We are currently talking with various concert promoters overseas and we will announce the complete schedule of CNBLUE's Asia tour when we receive the final dates," she explained.

The boys will kick off their Asia tour with their shows in Korea titled "BLUESTORM" which will take place at Seoul's Olympic Hall on September 17 and 18.

In the meantime, CNBLUE, who recently signed with Warner Music Japan, will make their debut into the mainstream music scene in Japan on October 19 with their single album "In my head."

CNBLUE, which stands for Code Name Blue, has been a successful and popular band in the K-pop scene as well where they made a debut in early 2010.

CNBLUE to open Linkin Park's concert in Japan this weekend

Korean rock band CNBLUE have been chosen as the opening act to Linkin Park's upcoming concert in Japan, according to the official website of Linkin Park and CNBLUE's official Japanese website.

The respective websites revealed on Wednesday that CNBLUE will warm up the crowd before Linkin Park takes the stage at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan on September 10 as part of their nationwide tour titled "A THOUSAND SUNS JAPAN TOUR 2011."

In the meantime, Linkin Park will perform in Korea two days before their show in Japan at the Olympic Park Stadium in Seoul to promote their fourth album "A Thousand Suns."

Linkin Park, first formed in 1996, rose to fame with so-called 'hybrid rock' which combined punk, rock hip-hop and other genres of music into their work.

Their first album “Hybrid Theory” released in 2000 was a phenomenal success that sold over 50 million copies around the world with one of its singles “Crawling” fetching them a Grammy Award for best hard rock performance in 2002.

They have since released a number of other hit songs such as "Somewhere I Belong," "Faint" and "Numb/Encore."

CNBLUE, composed of members Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jung-shin and Lee Jong-hyun, made their debut as an Indie rock band in Japan before breaking into the K-pop scene last year.

The boys are currently gearing up for their concert in Korea titled "BLUESTORM" which will take place at Seoul's Olympic Hall on September 17 and 18 and their mainstream debut in Japan on October 19.
