CNBLUE member Lee Jung-shin appeared on set and it was obvious he was an idol.

Lee Jung-shin landed in the role of duce Kang Seong-jae in the upcoming KBS 2TV weekend drama “My Daughter Seo-yeong“. He was complimented by the staff for great attitude towards his work and boldness.

Kang Seong-jae is a pain in the butt at school unlike his brother Woo-jae (Lee Sang-yoon) and Mi-kyeong (Park Jeong-ah) and is the youngest and a troublemaker at home.

Lee Jung-shin had his first scene done with Lee Seo-yeong (Lee Bo-yeong) who is also his tutor. Kang Seong-jae is the kind who manages to make his tutors quit in a month but Seo-yeong isn’t that easily played.

Seo-yeong wasn’t at all intimidated by his actions in this scene and was the charismatic teacher.

Lee Jung-shin read the script with Lee Bo-yeong before the shooting started and was able to complete the scene under the lead of the senior actress. Lee Bo-yeong seemed pleased with his cuteness.

Meanwhile, “My Daughter Seo-yeong” is a family drama about a father who wants to be the best to his daughter Seo-yeong who’s ended all ties with her parents for the misfortune they have brought to her.

Lee Jungshin successfully kicks off acting career in “My Daughter Seo Young”

jungshinmdsy.jpg

CNBLUE′s bassist Lee Jung Shin became the last CNBLUE member to start up his acting career, but still managed to get off on the right footing. He appeared in the KBS2 drama My Daughter Seo Young, which aired its first episode on September 15, as Kang Sung Jae, the rebellious teen who is completely different from his better-off brother Woo Jae (Lee Sang Yoon) and sister Mi Kyung (Park Jung Ah). He will barely start to harness an interest in his studies due to the crush he has on his private tutor Seo Young (Lee Bo Young).

In the first and second episodes of the drama, Lee Jung Shin became a teen absorbed in himself, even walking like a model alone, and at times put on his cute antics in front of his mother role. The band member proved indeed that the regular training he had received in acting was paying off.

He told enews on September 17, “I′m happy that I′m acting for the first time in a role that I really wanted to try. I′ll work hard to be a good actor as Kang Sung Jae in My Daughter Seo Young. I watched the broadcasts with the CNBLUE members, and their support is a big help to me. I′ll continue to be more natural and cheerful.”

My Daughter Seo Young is a drama which tells of how a daughter cuts her ties with her family due to her father′s incompetence, yet is accepted by her father anyway.

It is directed by producer Yoo Hyun Ki, the man behind Master of Study and Brain, and writer So Hyun Kyung of Prosecutor Princess and 49 Days. It stars not only Lee Jung Shin, but also Chun Ho Jin, Lee Bo Young, Lee Sang Yoon, Park Hae Jin, Choi Yoon Young and Park Jung Ah.

CNBLUE Enthusiastic About Upcoming London Tour

32524.jpg

In an exclusive pre-concert interview with the press, CNBLUE shares their thoughts for their upcoming London Tour.

CNBLUE is ready to rock London on September 22! Scheduled to appear in a solo concert for the first time in European soil, CNBLUE admits that "Yes, it's their very first time to visit UK." Still considered a 'rookie' band by certain merits, CNBLUE is a band that has disrupted the K-Pop music scene by breaking records, topping charts with each album they release. Recently, CNBLUE topped the Oricon chart for their first full length Japanese album, Code Name Blue. They also recently proved to the music industry that they can impress American and European audiences with their successful joint concert in Los Angeles with FTISLAND in March. This time, CNBLUE is now taking on the home of rock bands, London.

When asked about their expectations of their UK audience, CNBLUE stays down-to-earth, asking the fans to just enjoy the show with them, as they have always asked fans to do in all their times on stage. They candidly admit that they are not excited about just the notion of being in the UK, but they find that "Meeting with UK fans for the first time itself is the most exciting part. Hope everyone can have fun there together."

CNBLUE is also aware of the different reception they may get from their UK audience, current fans and new listeners alike. The band says "They may not sing along every song, but we'll try to communicate and interact with audience through music, the universal language." This being said, CNBLUE is still proud, however, of the unique sound found in their music that are different from the music now topping the UK charts, saying they are differentiated by "the progression of Korean style melodic lines that gives some exotic impression."

Apart from being excited to perform for a UK audience, they are also looking forward to doing some touristy things, "Tower Bridge is the one to visit. Also, we would like to visit Abbey Road to fill up our fever for the Beatles." Now, whether they will recreate the famous Abbey Road photography angle, we can only anticipate. One thing is certain though, with their determination, hard work and CNBLUE's undying commitment to make their own music, their hearts are sure to find another home in London.

CNBLUE will play at the O2 - IndigO2 Theatre on September 22 at 7 PM.
