Thanks sis@Maris for the video upload. It didn't think too much about it until I saw the video that Kim Rae Won had acted with Lee Min Ho in Gangnam Blue then I remembered Lee Min Ho acted with Shin Hye in Heirs. So now Lee Min Ho and Shin Hye have acted with the veteran actor Kim Rae Won. What a small world. Just like Yoon Gyun-Sang acted in Pinocchio and now with Shin hye again (even though it will take getting used to if it is a love triangle and has a crush on Shin Hye in Doctors) hmmm....food for thought. Don't mind my rambling sometimes...I might seem a bit coo coo (crazy).

I have seen two of KRW's dramas....Attic Cat , which star are you from and one movie My little bride. Believe me he can act and has charismatic presence. His expressive eyes have the same type intensity as that of Lee Wan in Tree of heavens. Lot of rave opinions were seen when his drama Punch was aired. Lot of ranting when he did not get Daesang for that performance. I did not watch Punch solely because of it having a tragic ending. Did not see Gangnam Blues. The ones I did see were all absorbing. He won actor of the year award (PD) for Punch in SBS Award 2015

Yoon Kyun-sang.....just owns his characters....both in Pinocchio as the brother and 6FD as Moo Hyul the warrior. You fall for his powerful acting. He and Shinhye had few scenes together in Pinocchio so that should be no issue as far as any romantic ties are there in this drama.

With powerful stars in the drama ....the watching experience is always great. There is a love triangle in the story involving Hye-Jung and the good turned bad 2nd lead when her love interest falls for the main female lead. We don't know if it's going to be Shinhye and her with KRW or YKS....
Then again it could be both falling for Hye-Jung...

Everything about synopsis of Doctors sound good .....it's just that I do hope the screen writing is good enough not to be boring , dull or scattered when translated into drama for the viewers.
Writer and director please give us a good drama.......we waited so long for this..

@Maris, I totally understand your concerns. Sometimes even with the best actors and actresses if the PD isn't good at translating the script onto screen then the whole drama can fall apart. However, for KRW to pick this drama the script must be good. He seems to be an actor that chooses good stories. We know Shin Hye is the same also, she always chooses films and dramas with a meaning.

Kim Rae-won, Park Shin-hye confirmed for SBS’s Doctors

had a feeling this was coming, and now producers have confirmed that Kim Rae-won (Punch) and Park Shin-hye (Pinocchio) have signed on to star in the upcoming Monday-Tuesday SBS miniseries Doctors. Both actors had been announced weeks ago as possibilities, and a few days ago there was even a rash of confirmation articles that were immediately countered with “no, still considering” rebuttals, but now the final decision has come in.


The drama, which comes to us from the writer of Could We Marry, Warm Words, and High Society, is set in the field of neurosurgery, with Kim Rae-won set to play a neurosurgery specialist and professor who’s both a rational realist and an eminently affable personality who’s liked by all. Aw, I love happy Kim Rae-won, and I’ve missed him! He’s certainly wonderful in grittier, darker roles too, but man when he’s warm and charming, he’s so endearing.

He’ll also become the mentor and sunbae who’ll help turn around the cynical heroine’s life; that role is Park Shin-hye’s, who plays a woman who doesn’t trust people easily because of scars from her childhood, and who keeps her heart shut from others. She’s tough both in personality and with her fists, and is always going wayward, until she meets a mentor and starts to change, which allows her to put the past behind her and become a doctor.

The title is terribly generic-sounding, but I’m definitely up for these actors and those character descriptions. Sounds like it could be both fun and thoughtful, and I’ll be looking to see who else they cast; Lee Sung-kyung (Cheese in the Trap’s Baek In-ha) and Yoon Kyun-sang (Six Flying Dragons) are also in the mix as potential co-stars.

Doctors will air following Jackpot, which puts its premiere in June.

So the confirmation is finally here!



There is a little more description of both KRW and Shinhye's characters. I must say it sounds good....I have seen KRW only in what's labelled as romantic comedies.....he is good with very expressive eyes just like Shinhye's. The eyes can tell a whole story depending on who is emoting ....
I really think that there will be better than good chemistry between the two.....I am thinking along the lines of Go Soo /Shinhye in RT..

I predict a roller coaster of a ride in the months ahead. With both leads appearing on the small screen after over a year....the fans are eagerly awaiting their drama.

SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- Kim Rae-won and Park Shin-hye will join the new TV series "Doctors," its production company said.

According to Pan Entertainment, the two have been cast for the lead roles in SBS TV's new Monday-Tuesday series.

Actor Kim Rae-won will play Hong Ji-hong, a high school teacher and a neurologist, who helps Yoo Hye-jung, the female protagonist played by actress Park, overcome her childhood trauma to become a doctor. Yoo, full of remorse and shadowed by her past, slowly changes thanks to the help from her mentor Hong.

The series will go on air in June after the current series "The Royal Gambler" finishes.

Will Hong Ji-Hong just be a teacher/mentor to Hye-Jung or more than that?
If just a mentor than will there be a lifeline between Hye-Jung and Yoon Kye-Sang's character....
There has to be a love line isn't there?

I think there will be ...there is one in all K-dramas plus they can't let such wonderful stars presence go to waste....too good an opportunity..

So now it was confirmed by SALT the management company of Shinhye that she will be a doctor in the drama Doctor..I am so happy at least the long wait is over and finally we can see her after 1 year and a half of absence in the small screen.Hoping that the drama will be succesfull.Kim Rae Won is a great actor I watched him with drama with Kim Tae Hee .he is good in comedy romance and drama also.Goodluck to both Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won..fighthing.
