I'm hoping the producers and directors will change their minds because i do not care for PMY acting skills unlike our Shin Hye. I hope they can see that she has excellent dancing skills so doing martial arts is not a problem to her. Chemistry between Min Ho and Shin Hye is not a problem since they work very well with one other and seems to have fun while doing their CF. Park Shin Hye fighting!

Lee Min Ho, “I Want to Receive the Top Excellence Award”

Born as the year of rabbit, Lee Min Ho(24) revealed his New Year’s resolution for 2011.



Lee Min Ho reached his stardom on KBS2 Drama “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009, and was also recognized for his role in MBC “Personal Taste” last year. His next drama will be SBS “City Hunter” which is planning to air in May of this year.



We asked him, “What’s your biggest hope?” Lee Min Ho replied with a bright smile, “I only have one thought, and that is my upcoming drama ‘City Hunter.’ Just like what I’ve always done in the past, I would like to give it my best and hope for the best.”



Recently, Lee Min Ho’s day starts off with working out, and ends with working out. From time to time, he will go to his favorite cafe in Seoul Gangnam to enjoy a cup of coffee with his acquaintances.



We were able to have this sudden interview with him because of his simple(?) daily routines. We went to his favorite cafe and met him by chance, and we asked him if we could interview him. However, he responded, “If we meet again by chance, I promise to have an interview then.” Our eyes met again at the VIP movie premiere for “Children…” Now, a few days have past and we’re sitting here at the same cafe enjoying the interview.



“Now that I think about it, I haven’t had an interview after ‘Boys Over Flowers.’ Haha. I’m really busy working out these days. This is my first time ever working out so hard like this. I go to action school three times a week. I have weight training class every day, and I’m also learning how to swim. Because of the workouts, I was able to lose weight on my face. I sometimes come to this cafe just to relax.”



While he was getting off the van with a refreshing iced Americano in his hand, one fan came up to him and asked him for an autograph. She had a young daughter who was a big fan of him, and shyly handed him the paper to sign.



“I feel thankful [for my fans]. Lee Min Ho was able to exist because of the love he received from his fans. However, there was a time when I became impatient because people did not notice me. I have an optimistic personality. Haha. Nowadays, there’s a lot more people who notice me, so I always believe that I need to do my best. I want to return their love as well.”



“City Hunter” will be his first drama in 2011, and will also be his third drama overall. He puts a lot of love and effort into each of his work. The upcoming drama is adapted from a famous Japanese manga written by Hojo Tsukasa. Lee Min Ho will be playing the main character as a charismatic yet heartwarming CIA agent, and will show a different type of charm throughout the drama.



“I was able to win the Best Newcomer Award for KBS through ‘Boys Over Flowers.’ I also won the Excellence Award for MBC ‘Personal Taste’ last year. For this year, I would like to win the Top Excellence Award for SBS ‘City Hunter.’ Haha. I am earnestly preparing myself, so please watch over me. sad and disappointed for Shinhye not being to get the CH role opposite LMH but as the saying goes, "life must go on" and "when one door closes, another one opens" , so i would like to believe that there's another korean drama meant for shinhye this year....

i miss her in a korean drama already, its been a while since YAB and i am just glad that there's still Hayate to look forward to.....

my dream role for her is still that of a dancer...sigh...

I was hoping till the end but I had to accept it now... I just hope for the best of these drama City hunter and all I can do now

is pray for better opportunities for PSH.

Actress Park Min Young has been confirmed for the female lead role in the upcoming drama, “City Hunter.”

The new SBS Wedsnesday-Thursday drama will air its first episode on May 25th. She will play ‘Kim Nana’, a woman experienced in the martial arts and is a guard for the Blue House (Korea’s equivalent ofthe White House). ‘Kim Nana’ will meet and fall in love with MIT graduate, ‘Dr. Lee Yoon Sung’.

It’ll definitely be an interesting role for the actress, as she’ll be required to learn new skills for her character. ‘Kim Nana’ is especially proficient in judo, and since she’s a bodyguard as well, viewers will get to see her sweat and run around in both her blue uniform and sleek black attire.

The drama’s representative said, “It took a long time to find an actress that would fit perfectly. Her young and healthy image goes well with the role.”

Park Min Young will be working alongside actor Lee Min Ho, who plays the male protagonist ‘Lee Yung Jong’.

I was a bit sad too when I read that Shinhye didnt get the role.....But I really hope City Hunter does well and the writers do the story justice so LMH can shine !

Shinhye not getting this role means that she is open to do 1 series this year !!! Im trying to be optimistic and think positively hehe....
how about pairing with Kim Bum since they are friends?!

City Hunter (シティーハンター, mini cooperī Hantā?) is a hardboiled manga series written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo, published by Shueisha in the Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1985 to 1991. The manga was adapted into an animated television series by Sunrise Studios... in 1987. The City Hunter franchise spans four animated television series, three television specials, two original video animations, an animated feature film and a live-action Hong Kong film starring Jackie Chan. In 2001, Tsukasa Hojo started the Angel Heart, a City Hunter spin-off.

The series follows the exploits of Ryo Saeba, a "sweeper" or private detective who works to rid Tokyo of crime, and Kaori Makimura, a tomboyish girl who manages Ryo's business affairs.

Their "City Hunter" business is an underground jack-of-all-trades operation, contacted by writing the letters "XYZ" on a blackboard at Shinjuku Station. The original 'City Hunter' manga had 1980s Tokyo as the backdrop, but the korean adaptation will take place in 2011's Seoul instead.


Huh! If they have chosen PSH, it could be a perfect pair, since Shin Hye already play Gominam role, a girl pretending boy, she could
be the tomboyish look perfect for a playboy partner, but then again Life Goes ON.

YoongSu is a prosecutor who works in the Seoul District Special Force Team. He dreams to become the chief of police, he has a very strong sense of responsibility and his self-management is very strong which leads him to become a workaholic.



YoongSu does not believe in love, he wish to have a relationship with a successful woman so that she will helps him in his career. However, his father intervened and he failed to maintain the relationship. Soon, he is attracted to Kim Nana (Park MinYoung) and develop a triangular relationship in between himself, Kim Nana and Lee YoonSung (Lee Minho).



The production team revealed that, "The reason for Lee JoonHyuk was chosen to take up the role is because we determined it based on the similarities to the character and the actor's acting skills. He participated in a variety of dramas before and his acting skills were recognized by the viewers. He has a clean and dandy image and he can be very infectious through his eyes. Thus, we chose Lee JoonHyuk as Kim YoongSu. "



Lee JoonHyuk has a gentle image and he formerly acted in The World That They Live In (KBS2, 2008) as Lee JoonGi, Three Brothers (KB2, 2009) as Kim YiSang and I am Legend (SBS, 2010) as Jang TaeHyun.
