Lee Min Ho speaks about his nearly-fatal car accident







All eyes were on actor Lee Min Ho as he spoke about his near-death experience on a popular entertainment news program.

On July 13th, Lee Min Ho revealed, “The witnesses said it was a miracle I was still alive,” referring to his serious car accident on set that practically totaled the vehicle.

Lee managed to keep a light attitude, but added: “I feel fine now, except that my back still hurts – but it may be due to the excessive rain lately. I think I may need to see a doctor after this.”

When asked about which of his action moves were the most memorable for him, he said it was the “Spoon Move”. He had practiced it so many times that he could now execute it with his eyes closed.

“The move is supposed to be done with a sword, but because we can’t use that on set, we substituted it with a spoon.”

In regards to ‘City Hunter‘ as a whole, he said, “I feel like I’ve grown as a person while shooting ‘City Hunter’. Hopefully when it’s all said and done, I’ll be a better Min Ho than I was when I first started.”

In this drama series, Lee Min Ho portrays the role of ‘Yoon Sung’, the rebel who goes against society’s norms with his unconventional ways.

"City Hunter's" Lee Min Ho Meets with Hollywood Producer Terence Chang!

With “City Hunter” ending in two weeks, Lee Min Ho may be heading to Hollywood anytime soon! Just recently, Hong Kong and American film producer Terence Chang flew to Korea to meet up with the popular actor. Although nothing has been officially announced, the meeting is already causing many speculations about Lee Min Ho’s possible career in Tinseltown.

Terence Chang is known for producing hits like “Mission: Impossible II” (2000), starring Tom Cruise, “FACE/OFF,” (1997) starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, “Broken Arrow” (1996), starring John Travolta and Christian Slater, and more. He’s also one of John Woo’s longtime friends and favored producers. Currently, the famed producer is working with Korean director John Lee (aka Lee Jae Han) in producing Hollywood film “The Killer,” (2012) starring Jung Woo Sung.

The famed producer personally visited the set of “City Hunter,” watched the filming, and also chatted with Park Min Young before meeting with Lee Min Ho. Representatives of StarHaus Entertainment stated, “With Lee Min Ho’s popularity overseas growing, especially in China, Mr. Chang took an interest in him and requested a meeting. Mr. Chang praised Lee Min Ho, saying he looked even better in person and is an actor who can challenge himself endlessly.”

Lee Min Ho commented, “Everything was hectic because I was in the middle of filming, but I felt very fortunate and grateful that such a famous producer came all the way to Korea to meet me. I will continue to work hard and prepare myself – in foreign languages and others – to succeed abroad.”

Meanwhile, "City Hunter" acheived its highest rating yet with 19.9% (ABG Nielsen) for last night's episode. Sung Yuri's "Romance Town" followed with 11.6%, and Jung Yong Hwa's "Heartstrings" with 6.2%. Lee Min Ho's "City Hunter" will air its 16th episode tonight, July 14th, on SBS at 9:55PM KST.

SBS "City Hunter" sees slight drop in ratings, still No. 1

SBS drama "City Hunter" saw a slight drop in ratings this week though maintaining its position at the No. 1 spot on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Friday revealed that "City Hunter," starring Lee Min-ho and Park Min-young, brought in average viewership ratings of 17.5 percent, showing a decrease of 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous week.

However, data release by AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the action series scored an average of 19.6 percent, posting a rise of 0.4 percentage points from the previous week.

This week's episode focused on how Yoon-sung (played by Lee) confessed his love for Nana (played by Park).

KBS' "Romance Town," starring Sung Yu-ri and Jung Gyu-woon, ended its run this week in second place with viewership ratings in the 11 to 13 percent range.

New series "The Princess' Man (translated title)," featuring Park Si-hoo and Moon Chae-won, will premiere next week.

Meanwhile, MBC's "Heartstrings" continued to trail behind with ratings in the five percentile range.

SBS "City Hunter" showed Yoon-seong (Lee Min-ho) breaking up with Na-na (Park Min-yeong). He realizes anew why he can't love someone in the environment he's in and declares goodbye to Na-na.

Yoon-seong said goodbye to Na-na the same time he confessed his love to her. He said, "I don't let you go. I like you. However, you have to let me go first. Pretend you don't know me even if I come to see you". Na-na's eyes filled with tears.

Yoon-seong feels danger as Prosecutor Young-joo (Lee Joon-hyeok) comes that much closer to finding out his true identity. Jin-pyo's (Kim Sang-joong) advice not to fall in love with anyone sinks in and he tells her goodbye for her own safety.

However, Na-na couldn't let him go easily. They coincidentally reunite in a place where they have memories. Yoon-seong told her, "Don't come to our places and be miserable. I will do that".

He then told her, "I regret falling in love with you. I want you to forget me and find someone else to be happy with". Na-na got angry with him and said, "I understand why you want to say goodbye but how could you tell me to find someone else". She cried sorrowfully.

However, Yoon-seong didn't embrace her but turned around and left. Na-na looked at his back and continued to cry.

couldt it be that the President is lee min ho's character's real father in CH? omo cant wait for the next ep..

OMG! Ep 16 was sooo good but so heartwrenching! I hate how Yoon Sung is such a jerk to NaNa and keeps pushing her away, but at the same time, I know he is doing this only because he loves her a lot and wants to protect her. Such an emotional rollercoaster. I feel so sad for Nana but it is so touching because she did obey Yoon Sung and ignored him. Yet, that bothers him a lot. I really loved the egging scene. I loved it sooo much when his eyes were only on Nana while tutoring.

As for the prosecutor, I am still kinda annoyed with him because why is he soo persistent on tracking down the City Hunter after all he has done?

This may be one of the few series that no love triangle exists.

And here are my thoughts for the ending: As this point, I am not sure what his relationship with the President is. I want to say that they are indeed father and son but how would Jin Pyo know that? Because if Kyung-Hee did have an affair behind Mu Yeol's back, he would most certainly reprimand her for that since Mu Yeol is such a good friend to him. And Jin Pyo likes Kyung Hee too. And it doesn't seem like Kyung-Hee thinks that the President is his dad. So things aren't just adding up to me...That being said, if YS is the President's son, that would SOOO sad because he would have been living his life in vain for 28 years. I mean, all that pain and lack of childhood for nothing because he wouldn't really be taking revenge for his dad. This would also mean Jin Pyo is extremely malicious because he is using the President's own son against him. I don't get it. Such suspense!

As for the ending, a lot of people are speculating about the death of either NN or YS but I think neither will die. My thought is that after this revenge business, he is going to go to the place that NN talked about where she asked him to grant her a wish, end up seeing her, and then they will get back together despite Nana saying she will never take him back again. (This is just optimism on my part)

So obviously, I am way too involved with this drama. Hahaha. I just LOVE City Hunter so much and I can't believe it's going to end in 2 weeks. I just cannot express how phenomenal a job PMY and LMH are doing portraying their characters. I just wish he would love Nana back. LOVE HER!

Curiosity is rising about the final twist of SBS drama "City Hunter".

On the 16th episode of "City Hunter", all of Lee Yoon-seong's (Lee Min-ho) secret behind birth and such was shown. This day President Choi Eung-chan (Cheon Ho-jin), Choi Da-hye (Goo Ha-ra) and Lee Yoon-seong were having dinner together when Lee Yoon-seong took out the beans from his rice. Then his mother Lee Kyeong-hee (Kim Mi-Sook) said, "You are just like your father" and roused suspicions more. Netizen's say, "it looks like Choi Eung-chan is going to be his father".

On the SBS "TV News At Night" Lee Min-ho said there is going to be an amazing twist at the end. He also roused curiosity even more when he said, "No one will ever be able to guess what happens" and more.
