Yoo Seung Ho and Park Min Young Confirmed as Leads in Upcoming Law Drama

Actors Yoo Seung Ho and Park Min Young are confirmed to play leads in SBS‘s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Remember.”

Yoo Seung Ho will play a genius lawyer Seo Jin Woo, who suffers from hyperthymesia, and Park Min Young will play Lee In Ah, a lawyer who has a playful personality but matures as she realizes how merciless the world of law is.

Seo Jin Woo goes head-to-head with the law as he tries to prove his father’s innocence. Lee In Ah is on the verge of quitting being a lawyer when she finds the case of Seo Jin Woo’s father, which ultimately turns her life around. The two are childhood friends but when Lee In Ah tries to uncover this case together with him, she starts feeling something more than just friendship towards him.

Logos Film, the head of this production, stated, “‘Remember’ is not just a drama dealing with law. It also deals with humanity. The story line will be full of events inside and outside of law. Please look forward to Yoo Seung Ho and Park Min Young’s chemistry.”

Meanwhile, “Remember” will air on November 12 after “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” finishes its run.

Actor Yoo Seung Ho (22) is now confirmed for the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama, 'Remember,' and the actress starring opposite him will be Park Min Young (29)!

Yoo Seung Ho and Park Min Young will respectively be playing Seo Jin Woo, a genius attorney suffering from excessive memory (possibly hyperthymesia), and Lee In Ah, who transforms into a mature lawyer. Yoo Seung Ho's character engages in a fight in order to prove his father's innocence in a murder case. Park Min Young's character will be as cute, bright, and clumsy at first, but she will change as she watches Yoo Seung Ho, whom she's known since childhood, struggle in order to fight against injustice.


In related news, actor Nam Goong Min is in positive talks to appear in the drama, as well, but not confirmed as of yet.


Logos Film insisted that the drama will not be focused on being a legal drama, but rather focus on being a legal human drama, meaning they hope to focus on the compassionate aspects of the story, as well

he cast is coming together quickly for upcoming SBS series Remember! Healer's Park Min Young will take the lead female role opposite Yoo Seung Ho in this legal thriller.

Remember tells the story of Seo Jin Woo, a talented attorney who suffers from hyperthymesia, an autobiographical memory. He uses his memory to his advantage when his father is falsely convicted of a crime and sentenced to death, but suddenly Jin Woo's memory begins to fade. (Some plot descriptions say it's early-onset Alzheimer's, while others say the cause is still undefined.)

Park Min Young joins the cast as Lee In Ah, Jin Woo's childhood friend. She is an optimistic, quirky law student who isn't sure if the law is a good fit for her until she hears about Jin Woo's father's case. As she stays by his side, her feelings of friendship begin to evolve into more.

Apparently, Yoo Seung Ho and Park Min Young are supposed to be the same age, in spite of their 7-year age gap in real life. They will also play the 18-year-old versions of their characters. Fortunately, Park Min Young looks fairly young for her age (29), so she should be able to pull it off reasonably well.

Park Sung Woong previously confirmed his role as a lawyer with a secret past who teams up with Jin Woo.

Remember comes from the writer behind the acclaimed film The Attorney and the director of Birth of a Beauty. It is scheduled to air in December on SBS.

Oh my goodness, this is such a treat. So short though…It’s like teasing me…I think this is a teaser since you are left wanting more. Hollywood movie trailers are almost a minute long usually but this is like a 16 second teaser. They really mean it when they say teaser in this. Anyways, Seung Ho looks so cute with his cat!

Oh by the way, in the video Seung Ho says, “When you add a cat, it becomes an imaginary cat.”

Man I cannot wait. This is gonna air on MBC Every 1 in late November? I have to wait a month? I need to watch his other stuff too when it comes out like: Joeseon Magician,Kim Seondal,and Remember…Oh yea, I still need to watch an MV movie with him and Park Shin Hye and So Ji Seob…However, the one I am looking forward to the most is Imaginary Cat since its so up my alley~ I can’t help but to think about Garfield Minus Garfield now…

Jo Hye Jung faces controversy over casting as Yoo Seung Ho's love interest in Imaginary Cat

Because It's the First Time actress Jo Hye Jung landed a coveted role opposite Yoo Seung Ho in the upcoming MBC Every1 series Imaginary Cat, but now the rookie actress is facing criticism from netizens who believe her casting had more to do with family connections than talent.

The 23-year-old actress is the daughter of veteran actor Jo Jae Hyun (Punch). She was struggling as an actress until she appeared with her father on the reality show Take Care of My Dad. Suddenly, she was able to catch a leading role opposite one of K-drama's hottest young actors after only appearing in supporting roles in God's Quiz: Season 4 and the currently airing Because It's the First Time.

Netizens are complaining that it's an unfair advantage to play off of her father's reputation to get roles, but Jo Hye Jung's representatives gave a strong response: "We have found some criticism regarding Jo Hye Jung and her father. It's disappointing to see such biased views. If someone is a bad actor or actress, then he or she deserves to be criticized. However, we haven't even started filming yet, so we hope people will judge the drama for itself."

I can see why the netizens would be suspicious, but if she's good at playing the role, who cares who her father is or isn't?

Imaginary Cat tells the story of Hyun Jong Hyun (Yoo Seung Ho), a stubborn webtoon writer who works in a bookstore and has trouble because of his self-centered nature. His only friend is his cat, Boggil, and together the two of them have a series of experiences that heal his heart.

Jo Hye Jung will play Oh Na Woo, a tenderhearted character who cares for stray cats after she loses her own pet. She falls for Jong Hyun at first sight and doesn't let his prickly personality deter her from declaring her feelings.

Considering that her character in Because It's the First Time is also caring and considerate, this role actually seems like a good fit for her. The short series is also airing on a smaller cable network, so it's a good place for a newer actress to test out a lead role. Some people were surprised to hear that Yoo Seung Ho agreed to the low-key series, but he said he wanted to do the project to help other people feel his love of cats, which is pretty much the most adorable reason ever, so who can really fault him?

Imaginary Cat is an 8-episode series that will premiere on MBC Every1 next month.




My own point of view:
I thought I know why the netizens would be suspicious about her, as we know that she is still a newcomer in this acting career. YSH have a long list of talented actress who would like act with him in a drama, for example
our lovely Park Shin Hye, then Sung Yuri, Kim Yoo Jung, Kang Sora and many more. Many netizens, of course thought that how could she be so lucky to act with Seung Ho soon?
I hope more fans could think in a positive side and just enjoy Imaginary Cat drama as Seung Ho said before that he wanted to do the project to help other people feel his love of cats, which is pretty much the most adorable reason ever,
Woooah, I'm surprised to know the fact that Seung Ho get more and more fans recently. He is really gonna be the next hallyu star like LMH and KSH.
