FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi Chooses Yang Jin Seong Over Park Shin Hye as Ideal Type

FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi chose Yang Jin Seong over his previous partner, Park Shin Hye, as his ideal type.

TV Chosun’s Bride of the Century held its drama press conference on February 19, at Club Vanguard in Samsung-dong. The conference was attended by Yoon Sang Ho PD, Lee Hong Gi, Yang Jin Seong, Choi Il Hwa and the other cast members.

Lee Hong Gi, who had his heart set on Park Shin Hye in his previous drama, SBS’s You’re Beautiful, will be acting out a dangerous romance with Yang Jin Seong in Bride of the Century.

When the reporters asked who is closer to his ideal type, Lee Hong Gi answered, “I like both Park Shin Hye and Yang Jin Seong. I’m very comfortable with either of them. But I tend to like older girls, so if I have to pick one, I would say Yang Jin Seong, who is a year older than me,” making everyone break out in laughter.

Yang Jin Seong Was Scared to Act Opposite FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi One Star

Actress Yang Jin Seong expressed her concern acting alongside FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi.

TV Chosun’s new drama Bride of the Century held its press conference on February 19 at Club Vanguard in Samsung-dong. The conference was attended by Yoon Sang Ho PD, Lee Hong Gi, Yang Jin Seong, Choi Il Hwa and the other cast members.

Taking a double role in the drama, Yang Jin Seong will be unfolding a dangerous romance with Lee Hong Gi.

When the reporters asked her if she felt any pressure acting opposite a member of an idol group, Yang Jin Seong answered, “I felt a lot of pressure. Not only is he a year younger than me, but he’s also a popular idol. So I was worried in the beginning, but it got better as we started filming.”

“Many of Lee Hong Gi’s fans still visit the drama site from time to time to show support,” added the actress. “I was scared of them at first, but not anymore. I was sick from a cold the other day, and his fans even gave me some citrus tea. I’ve been enjoying filming thanks to them.”

The first episode of Bride of the Century is set to air on February 22.
