Irish_law, I am not a fan of fermented bean curd (like a pickled tofu has many different varieties tho - there is something about the smell, they say it has blue cheese?). I eat fresh soft tofu bcoz of the protein. This is tasteless, no smell, with a little syrup added.
Another I can' take is an authentic Indian curry - the smell and taste makes me ran towards the exit.

Like they say, some are an acquired taste. Love most kinds of cheeses . . . . but try Limburger (old German cheese). . . it took me awhile to appreciate cheeses again


CNBlue boys.... there is something about them, aside from their music, that pulls me in

CNBLUE’s first AX, “They want to become a band that can succeed through live performances”

Korean 4-member rock band CNBLUE held a press conference before their Tokyo SHIBUYA-AX public performance on 20th September, the last day of their first 東名阪 (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka) tour.

Before debuting in their home country, in the summer of 2009, CNBLUE participated in Japan’s Indies Scene and released a mini album. After that, CNBLUE achieved their debut in Korea in January this year which led to them acquiring first place on the music chart, and with one step to stardom, CNBLUE earned their self-introduction. Leader Jung Yong Hwa had first appeared in the Korean drama “You’re Beautiful” and because of that, he was already very popular before the band’s debut. Furthermore, with the 4 members’ good looks, and the fact that in Korea, where dance groups are predominant, it is rare to have real “bands” that play their own music, CNBLUE became extremely popular instantly.

In Japan, CNBLUE released their 2nd single “I Don’t Know Why” on 16th September, the first day of their Osaka nanba Hatch public performance tour, and achieved a 7th place ranking on the daily chart. The tickets for the 3 performances of their first 東名阪 tour were sold out on the same day and it was difficult to get tickets. In the midst of growing to become such a popular artiste, one thing to note is their youth; their average age is not even fully 20.

The interview was carried out mostly in Japanese. With regards to their first 東名阪 (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka) tour:

“Because we are not just confined to Tokyo, but we now get to hold public performances at various cities, I am really happy.”. [Yong Hwa (guitar & vocal)]

“The yaki and takoyaki which I like in Osaka was really delicious. It was my first time going to Nagoya and I ate Hitsumabushi. I ate separately 3 times on separate occasions, but the taste was completely different for all 3 occasions; it was very tasty.”. [Min Hyuk (Drums)]

The other comments were also in the same vibe and were about their fun experiences.

Again, with regards to their latest single:

” “Lie” and ”I don’t know why” were songs to discover our own individual styles. From the standpoint of CNBLUE’s music, these are songs which let you feel that there is possibility of growth and are songs about love. ”. [Yong Hwa ]

Various questions were asked rapidly. For eg. “What kind of female types do you like?” was directed at CNBLUE who is known as a “good-looking band”.
And ” What would you do if you had one day of rest?” was directed at the CNBLUE members who have been busy travelling to Japan and Korea and other various countries in Asia.
With regards to this:

“Eat gyuudon (beef rice bowl) in the morning, go to Harajuku for shopping, and at night, study the people who are performing street lives. After that, we would also like to perform street lives. (laughs) “ [Yong Hwa ]

“Like in the past, perform live at the live house, and after that, if I could eat delicious ramen I would be happy.” [Jung Shin (bass) ] Based on their replies, the interviewers were caused to feel that CNBLUE had a very sincere attitude with regards to music.

“I am listening to bands like BUMP OF CHIKEN, Mr. Children, and recently, ONE OK ROCK.” [Jong Hyun (guitar and vocal) ]

Besides Western bands like Bon Jovi, Maroon 5 and Hoobastank, the members also like J-ROCK.

“We really want to succeed at live performances, and in order to become a band that can think, “We want to try watching live performances.”, we want to try our best with all our might. In Japan, because we have been making live performances the core of our activities in order to deliver a good album, we would now like to make it such that we will be able to meet everyone again soon. ” CNBLUE said of their planned activities from now onwards.
About 2000 people gathered for today’s live. CNBLUE performed all their songs which have been released so far. The performance extended for about 2 hours. The new songs were performed, as well as Japanese, English and Korean songs; and together with the encore, a total of 23 songs were performed. —>

CN Blue’s fan signing event provoked 1500 fans into riot





In the Korean drama “You’re Beautiful” Jung Yonghwa played Shinwoo. JYH and CN Blue held a fan signing event yesterday. The members says “Hello everybody! We are CN Blue” in unison and in Chinese. However, the limit for the fan signing is only 200 and 1500 fans stumbled at the scene.

They arrived during Mid-Autumn festival. More than 800 fans made a special trip to the airport just to see them. Yesterday at the fan signing event, there were a lot of screaming and people who were just a passer by cant help but to peek at the event.

“Like Delicious Beef Noodles”
The fan signing event was opened to 200 fans only but there are more than 1500 fans. Fans queued up during the heavy rain. Leader JYH said, “To see many fans, I feel so great” Jungshin also said in Chinese, “I love you” and Jonghyun said, “Beef noodles is delicious”

Last night, they were at the Super King Show as well.MH recommended the challenge of fishing for goldfish game. JYH said that TW’s variety show was so funny. Jacky Wu is a funny person. Tonight at 7.30 PM they will be having their concert at NTU

CN Blue Experience Gold Fishing





Korean Group CN Blue held a fan signing event but only 200 fans can get their signs. However, there were 1500 fans out there. 3 days ago, fans started to come with their cards and no matter how tough it is they are still willing to see the boys. The enthusiasm of the fans left a big impression to them.

CNBlue cant speak much Chinese. They only can say “Thank you everybody” Straight after the event they went to NTU to rehearse for today’s concert. These days they have learned some chinese words for “delicious” , “very good”, “i want to see you”, “beef noodles” and “i love you” A few fans find it amusing and laughed. They also want to try tofu but there’s no time.

On the 23rd at 11PM, they recorder “Super King” CNBlue experience fishing for gold fish. Host, Jacky Wu, saw them frequently broke the paper nets. “在台灣把人家弄破是要負責的！” (something like if u destroy a family in TW u need to take responsibilty) – a pun. CNBlue didn't know anything ans said “Sorry” in chinese.
*i asked my chinese friend as well for the pun, we both think its weird but i think it got something to do the fish coz they breaking the net so the fish dies they break the family.

CNBLUE nominated for Billboard Japan’s best “Independent Artist of the Year 2010″



CNBLUE, who has just released their second single “I Don’t Know Why” in Japan has been nominated for best “Independent Artist of the Year 2010″.

The standard for being nominated was to have a #1 single on the Hot100 Billboards, Hot Airplay, top single sales, or at least one top album in 2010.

The voting will begin November 1, 2010 and will close on November 15th. Fans will be able to vote through the website or using their mobile phones.

The Billboard Japan Music Awards will be held in Tokyo on February 6, 2011.

South Korean stylish male band CNBLUE are having their first visit to Taiwan. A press conference was held today in Taipei, to celebrate their new album winning a double platinum. The members played a quick question and answer game on stage; leader Jung Yong Hwa took the opportunity to expose the other members’ embarassing stories, leading to laughter from the fans.

It is the first time CNBLUE are promoting in Taiwan. In the afternoon during the press conference, they played a quick question and answer, leading the members to joke about and expose each other’s secrets. Bassist Lee Jung Shin was asked of his feelings of the other members. He praised guitarist Lee Jong Hyun for being a very bright person. As for drummer Kang Min Hyuk, since the two are good friends, he doesn’t have any special feelings.

When Lee Jung Shin spoke about Jung Yong Hwa, he said that he is just like an older brother. However, Jung Yong Hwa deliberately countered, and said that Lee Jung Shin saying this means that he has no other charms, and jokingly told Lee Jung Shin, “I didn’t really have any feelings when I saw you for the first time anwyay, I just thought that you were really tall!”

FYI, Yonghwa never said directly that Shinhye is his ideal girl. He picked her in a game called Ideal Girl World Cup. He had to pick one. He always ended up picking Shinhye instead of many girls. He said so many times to the interviewer that he doesn't like Shinhye but he likes GoMinam kkk *so what if you like Shinhye anyway...*

I don't see anything wrong if Yonghwa and Shin Hye were seen hanging out or having tea, lunch or dinner together. There is nothing wrong with that. I agree with you ladies.

Shin Hye had mentioned before on an interview that she misses Yonghwa and have not spoken to him since YAB, does not have his number. So maybe during Sukkie's last fan meet in Seoul they met up. There is nothing wrong if Yonghwa is attracted to Shin Hye.
