Although Goo Hara failed to melt Lee Min Ho’s cold demeanor with her sweet ‘aegyo‘, new still-cuts from the set of “City Hunter” revealed that he seems to be warming up just fine to actress Park Min Young.

Taken on May 3rd at the Han River Park, the two were seen spending quality time together while enjoying instant coffee by the shore. Staff immediately noticed the CF-like quality of the scene.

Producers commented, “Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young made drinking coffee together look like a scene from a beautiful and warm CF. There weren’t a lot of lines, but there was definitely an air surrounding them that let viewers know that they were connecting.”

Actor Lee Min Ho mastered the art of seduction for his upcoming drama “City Hunter” along with the art of gun fighting, tree climbing, martial arts, and a Ph.D degree from MIT. Recently released photos reveal the Blue House National Communications’ agent Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) getting cozy with neither Kim Nana (Park Min Young),his to-be love interest, nor Choi Da Hae (Goo Hara), the President’s daughter who has a huge crush on him, but with a mysterious unknown woman (Min Young Won).

In the photos, the two are at a club drinking and “enjoying” each other’s company. Lee Min Ho manages to pull Min Hee’s (Min Young Won) heartstrings with his at-times indifferent and unresponsive attitude as she tries to get more intimate with him. His character, Lee Yoon Sung, is said to be quite the womanizer with enough skills in seducing women to rival Casanova.

While he’s probably mixing work with pleasure, it is said that Lee Yoon Sung only wooed Min Hee as part of his undercover mission. Actress Min Young Won is most known for her character in “Boys Before Flowers.” She played Lee Mi Sook who was part of the JinSunMi gang who went out of their ways to make Jandi’s (Gu Hye Sun) life miserable. She was asked by director Jin Hyuk to guest star in “City Hunter.” The two have worked together in “Brilliant Legacy” where she played Han Hyo Joo’s BFF. Last year, she received much media attention after receiving a proposal from a Dubai prince.

Representatives of SSD stated, “Lee Min Ho melted the hearts of our female crew with his art of seduction. They’ve nicknamed him Casahunter saying he surpasses Casanova’s skills in seducing women.”

“City Hunter” is based on the best-selling Japanese manga by Hojo Tsukasa and also stars Lee Joon Hyuk, Goo Hara, and Hwang Sun Hee. It will air its pilot episode this coming Wednesday, May 25th.

Lee Min Ho, “I Can’t Sleep Because…”


The highly anticipated drama “City Hunter,” starring Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young, will finally hit the airwaves tomorrow night! The lead actor confessed, “Now that the premiere is so near, it’s finally hitting me. I’m a bit nervous and worried.”

Recently, Lee Min Ho screened the final edited version of the first episode and stated, “I gained a certain level of confidence after people told me it was entertaining. I hope they’re right.”

He added, “Lately, I’ve been having trouble sleeping because I was anxious about the public’s response once it airs. I hope that even with the lack of sleep, I could wake up to good news Thursday morning.”

After watching Lee Min Ho throw a coin for a scene, the production team literally and figuratively interpreted, “the coin has now been tossed” (figuratively meaning that the dice has been rolled). The production team also praised Lee Min Ho saying, “Even though he’s nervous, Lee Min Ho made everyone around him comfortable and showed kindness like a true professional actor.”

“City Hunter” Teases With Lee Min Ho’s Steamy Shower Scene



What Korean drama is complete without its creepy but sexy shower scenes of its male leads? With the first episode airing tonight, May 25th, SSD released teaser photos of Lee Min Ho’s shower scene. In “City Hunter,” Lee Min Ho plays Lee Yoon Sung, a MIT graduate who works in the Blue House National Communications Team as a top government agent.

In order to express his multi-talented character as well as possible, Lee Min Ho has been mastering various fields like the martial arts, gunnery, and judo over the past several months. On May 15th, he exposed his toned body to shoot the shower scene.

In the scene, Lee Yoon Sung had just completed his judo training with fellow agents of the National Blue Team before showering. While he is skilled in various areas, including the martial arts, he hides his abilities and pretends to be nonathletic. As a result, he showers alone to hide the scars, from all the fighting and training, on his back from his coworkers. .

Representatives of SSD stated, “The public will finally be able to see all the hard work Lee Min Ho, Park Min Young, Lee Joon Hyuk, Goo Hara, and Hwang Sun Hee along with director Jin Hyuk put into ‘City Hunter.’”

“City Hunter's” original soundtrack (OST) has also made headlines befor ethe drama's premiere. Legendary rock singer Lim Jae Bum sang the theme song “Love,” and as soon as it's release, it topped five music charts: Mnet, Bugs Music, Melon, Soribada, and Dosirak. It’s extremely rare for an OST to take the No. 1 spot in all five charts, but it’s one measure of all the hype and expectations set for the drama.

“City Hunter” is based on the best-selling Japanese manga by Hojo Tsukasa, which sold over a million copies just in Korea. The original manga by Tsukasa is set in Tokyo during the 1980s, but the drama adaptation will take place in modern day Seoul. “City Hunter” premieres tonight, May 25th, at 9:55PM on SBS.

Lee Min-ho's new SBS series pre-sold overseas

SBS TV series "City Hunter," starring Korean actor Lee Min-ho, has been pre-sold to several countries ahead of its premiere in Korea tonight, according to SBS Contents Hub.

On Wednesday, SBS announced that "City Hunter" was pre-sold to the United States, Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam, while Japan, Taiwan and countries in Europe have shown interest in buying the distribution rights for the show as well.

"We have also received positive feedback for 'City Hunter' from overseas buyers in Bulgaria, the Philippines and Kazakhstan," an official from SBS was quoted as saying. "Right now viewers can see the show through United States' online video streaming website Hulu.com."

"City Hunter," based on the Japanese manga series by Tsukasa Hojo, tells the story of a playboy private detective named Ryo Saeba who works to get rid of crime in the city of Tokyo during the latter half of the 1980s.

Making it the first time for the cartoon to be adapted into a TV series, the Korean drama portrays Lee as Lee Yoon-sung who vows to get revenge for his father's death. He follows his father's plan and begins working at the Blue House after receiving his doctorate from MIT.

He then meets Kim Nana (played by actress Park Min-young), a judo athlete-turned-bodyguard, who works at the presidential office to protect Choi Da-hye, the youngest daughter of the President, taken on by KARA member Gu Hara.

The show, also starring actors Lee Jun-hyuk and Hwang Sun-hee, is a collaboration by famed producer Jin Hyuk of hit dramas "Brilliant Legacy" and "Princess Prosecutor" and scenarist Hwang Eun-kyung of "New Hit" and "The President."
