Korean rock band FTIsland will soon take off on their concert tour to Japan, revealed their agency FNC Music on Friday.
FNC informed in a press release that the five-member male band which has completed their promotion of the title song “Hello Hello” from their latest mini-album “RETURN,” will fly to Japan for a month-long concert nationwide tour which starts from next Wednesday.
The tour titled "Tour 2011 Summer Messenger," will kick off in Nagoya on June 29, followed by shows in Osaka on July 2, Tokyo on July 6, Fukuoka on July 8 and wrap up at the Budokan on July 29.
“The group is sorry that they have to leave so soon,” an official at FNC was quoted as saying in the statement, referring to the group’s departure to Japan in just a month of returning to Korea after pursuing musical activities in same country the past year. “They plan to return as soon as they complete their schedules in Japan.”
FTIsland, who appeared on music cable channel Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” last night, will wrap up their activity in Korea for a while after making their final appearances over the weekend on other live music shows KBS’ “Music Bank,” MBC’s “Music Core” and finally, at SBS’ “Inkigayo.”
Composed of members Lee Hong-ki, Song Seung-hyun, Choi Min-han, Lee Jea-jin and Choi Jong-hoon, FTIsland released their first album "Cheerful Sensibility" in 2007 and followed it up with several singles and studio albums including "Colorful Sensibility," "Cross and Change" and "beautiful journey."
They expanded their career into Japan in 2008 with single albums “Flower Rock” which was placed at No. 4 on the daily chart and their fourth Japanese single "SATISFACTION," released in late April this year, came in second place with on the weekly singles chart.
Their first full-length album "FIVE TREASURE ISLAND" was the biggest hit, debuting at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily chart, after selling over 37,000 copies during its first week of going on sale and making it the first time in Oricon history for an international male artists’ first full-length release to reach the No. 1 spot on the weekly chart.
