CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa transforms 180 degrees in MBC’s “You’ve Fallen For Me”



‘Milk Man’ Jung Yong Hwa is playing cold-hearted ‘Lee Shin’ and going out on a hunt to capture the hearts of ladies everywhere!

On MBC’s new Wednesday/Thursday drama, “You’ve Fallen For Me”, Yong Hwa will play a flower boy-band’s vocalist who lives and dies by his guitar, is ill-mannered, but also is sometimes silly.
In a released picture, Jung Yong Hwa is completely focused on playing his guitar. With his concentrated eyes, Jung Yong Hwa is raising the expectations for guitar genius Lee Shin.



“When I first read the script, I thought Lee Shin was cruel and careless,” said Jung Yong Hwa. He introduced Lee Shin as “Someone who only looks ignorant because he only cares about music, but is actually a warm and sensitive character.”

Jung Yong Hwa added, “I’m glad that I met a character perfect for me and that I can show myself as an actor once again. I am trying my best to not disappoint the audience.”

“You’ve Fallen For Me” is a youthful melodrama that paints young people’s dreams, friendships, and loves, all based in a performing arts college.

The first episode will air on June 29th after MBC’s “The Best Love” ends.

CN Blue Shares Thoughts on Ending Their Album Activities

On May 22nd, CN Blue had their goodbye performance on SBS’ “Inkigayo.” This marked the end of their performances for their first official album “First Step.”

Last March, they released their title song, “Intuition” and it was number one on various music programs and charts. After that they continued by performing “Love Girl.”

CN Blue members on May 25th told Star News, “We finished album activities that lasted for two months,” “we are thankful for all the love and support.”

They continued by saying “We won’t forget the love and support that the fans gave us and will see you once again improved even more.” “Don’t forget us and please wait. We also would appreciate that you would anticipate Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk’s acting career!”

Now that they have finished activities for their official albums, each member will be pursuing their individual activities. Both Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk will be appearing on MBC’s “You are into me.” CN Blue as a group plan to continue preparing their new albums for Japan and Korea.

CN Blue's Jung Yong Hwa Responds to Shin Hae Chul's Diss

On May 25th’s Episode of "Radio Star", CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa talked about the general direction of CN Blue’s music. Yoon Jong Shin asked him, “People are saying that more than rock isn’t the music that CN Blue pursues closer to pop?”

Jung Yong Hwa replied, “Because we were just starting out we aimed at going for a pop approach that would appease the masses, but if you look at the other songs on our album that is not really true.”

After some banter Kim Gu Ra asked a sensitive question to CN Blue, “Shin Hae Chul said, if CN Blue is a rock band then flies are birds.” (This is a common Korean saying, meaning that CN Blue are currently flies but if you call them a rock band, these flies are birds. A reverse of the common phrase, “If you are X, then I’m the queen of England etc.)

To this, Jung Yong Hwa replied, “Yes we heard about it, but first of all Shin Hae Chul is a sunbae who has done rock longer than us, I thought that he could have those kind of ideas about us. When we first started we knew that some people would see us that way, but we’ve only been around for a little over a year.” He also quoted Yoon Do Hyun (of YB Band) who said, Nobody can beat time and practice. So Jung Yong Hwa stated, “If we stay around for a longer time people will probably acknowledge us.”

Then Kim Gu Ra asked, “Have you met Shin Hae Chul before?” and Jung Yong Hwa replied, “No.”

To this Kim Gu Ra joked, “If you ever meet him you should wear fly costumes.”

CN Blue may not be classified as a HARD ROCK band, but that doesn't mean they aren't talented musicians and singers. It is more important to establish a definite style, and I believe they have done that, with a mix of different genres and styles. Yong is right, you have to be popular and sell songs and CDs first, then you can move away from pop and try more things, go more hard rock if you want. I think Shin is a little jealous of CN Blue's success, he should instead be proud of these young Korean men, not belittling their efforts!

a band doesn't need to be a rock band..that's is a very conservative thought..there's various type and branch of music..even CN BLUE doesn't consider themselves rock band..they're doing the genre of music that they love..a bit jazzy, a bit of hip hop, sweet soothing songs,pop rock songs..

IS THIS CNBLUE MINHYUK'S NEW LOOK?





The promoter of the new MBC drama "You've Fallen For Me" has revealed new photos of CNBLUE's Minhyuk on the set on May 27th after revealing still photos of CNBLUE's Yonghwa a few days ago. Minhyuk plays the Yeo Junhee, a student who majors in creating writing. Yeo Junhee also is part of a band called Stupid, in which he is the leader of. CNBLUE member Yonghwa also plays a part in the drama and plays the lead singer of the band, Lee Shin.

"My character is someone who acts like a kid but he's someone that is full of energy and is very cute. The director does a great job in telling us what to do and it feels like I'm actually a college student when I act with Yonghwa and Park Shin-hye," said Minhyuk.

Park Shinhye will play the female lead alongside Yonghwa and plays Lee Kyuwon, a woman who is studying Korean traditional music and knowledgeable in the arts of the Korean harp. Lee Shin, a cold and distant lead singer of a band and manages to win all of the girls' hearts on campus.

"You've Fallen For Me" is set to be broadcast on June 29th after "The Greatest Love."

Former H.O.T. Member Jang Woo Hyuk Confronts CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa




Former H.O.T. member Jang Woo Hyuk confronted CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa on yesterday night’s episode of SBS’s “Night After Night.” Jang Woo Hyuk stated, “Jung Yong Hwa seems pretentious. He was very courteous when he greeted me today on set, but there was an incident where he blew me off.”

Jang Woo Hyuk stated, “I asked several junior singers for support messages for the opening of my homepage. However, CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa rejected my request, and I want to know why.”

Others on set questioned, “How can you say no to none other than H.O.T.’s Jang Woo Hyuk?” H.O.T. was one of the most popular boy bands in the 90s, and it’s no exaggeration to say they began the idol craze in the Korean music industry.

Seeing his flustered face, Jang Woo Hyuk teased, “Groups that are more popular that CNBlue agreed, but why did you refuse?” Jung Yong Hwa explained, “I really had no idea [about the request]. If I had known, I would have done it.” It was all too obvious that others on set were having too much fun teasing the young leader. g.o.d. member Kim Tae Woo amusingly said, “He’ll start crying if we push him a bit more.”

During the episode, Kwanghee also stated, “Jung Yong Hwa said he wanted to become close friends, but he’s never given me a prompt response to my texts. Additionally, his texts are short one word responses. It was upsetting and it lowered my self-esteem.” Kim Tae Woo added, “He returned my text a day late, and it was a halfhearted response. “

Jung Yong Hwa clarified, “I don’t have a personal cell. I use a MP3 player, so I need to find Wi-Fi hotspots to send texts. I recently lost my MP3 and bought another, so I didn’t have anyone’s contact address.”

A love triangle emerges between TRAX’s Jungmo, CNBlue’s Yonghwa, and SNSD’s Seohyun?




Are TRAX’s Jungmo and CNBlue’s Jung Yonghwa engaged in a head-to-head battle over the heart of SNSD’s Seohyun?

Jungmo appeared as a guest on the June 1st airing of MBC TV’s “Radio Star” and said, “Seohyun is closest to my ideal.”

With that comment, Yonghwa fired with jealousy since SNSD’s Seohyun was his wife as a fake married couple on MBC’s “We Got Married“. He showed his jealousy by recalling his memories of when Seohyun learned guitar from Jungmo, her senior in the same company, during “We Got Married”.

CNBLUE tops Odyssey music chart in the Philippines


Korean rock band CNBLUE [FNC Music]


Korean rock band CNBLUE has recently topped another major album chart in the Philippines, informed the group’s agency FNC Music on Friday.

According to a press release by FNC, CNBLUE’s “FIRST STEP” officially released in Philippines on May 21, placed No. 1 on the Odyssey’s Music & Video International Chart, one of country’s largest record chains, during the week of May 16 to 31.

The group also placed their previous records, mini-albums “Blue Love” and “Bluetory,” on second and fifth place of the same chart, respectively.

The feat follows the group’s previous win on major record retailer Astroplus chart of the same country which put “FIRST STEP” on top followed by mini-albums “Blue Love” on second and “Bluetory” on third place, as of May 16 to 22.

“We were pleasantly surprised and happy to learn that they know us in the Philippines and willing to buy our albums…… We shall work harder to keep up with the good work,” the members were quoted as saying in FNC’s statement upon the news.

The full-length album is currently available at some of the largest record chains in the country including Astroplus The Block, Astroplus Mall of Asia, Odyssey Megamall and Odyssey SM Bacoor.

"FIRST STEP" is the group's first full-length album which sold over 150,000 copies in Korea alone and saw all 30,000 copies of its limited edition sell out in just a day of going on sale, as well as sweeping major music charts of Japan and Taiwan.

CNBLUE -- composed of members Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jong-hyun and Lee Jung-shin -- made their debut in Korea early last year with their hit single "Alone." After the release of several hit mini-albums and songs they advanced to Japan.

So far, members Jung and Kang are busy working on their upcoming MBC drama "Heartstrings" which will premiere later this month.
