Hi sis fgnuva. You are so correct about Shin Hye and the tomatoes picked for her by Taec. And the smile she gave to him after he handed them to her, that was so precious. I think Taec noticed that she really likes tomatoes because she ate one cherry tomato after Taec gave her a grand tour of the veggie patch and also ate tomatoes when they were inside the house because of the heavy downpour. And of course, her tomato kimchi.

Taec is so observant of what Shin Hye's favorites, like he remembered the pancakes she raved about when they drove to town during her first guesting and I think one of the contributing factors why he adopted Eddy is because Shin Hye adores that little pup

Thanks sis journoexpat I kind of figured you must be an expatriate from your name. Thanks for your post. I also was tempted to think they must be doing their lines looks etc with the awareness that romantic interludes between them would raise the show's ratings, for after all they are entertainment people and they earn their keep drawing people to their shows. But maybe that was kind of extreme thinking. Possibly the two had fun and the fun they shared would have made them strike a good friendship. Whether that friendship or acquaintanship will progress to something deeper i guess only time can tell. Meantime it's still fun to analyze their interactions and exchanges between them. Yes, I returned to my former paper last year and this is why TMAD is so special to me, it was my antidote against homesickness. I became soooo tired of watching American TV shows, mostly full of violence and sexy scenes, that I want something that is heartwarming and fresh. Then my two nieces raved about this show which they say is a reality, variety show and saw LSJ (who I know is grumpy) and Taec( an idol known as a beastly one) and then found them so funny and unique. Taec with Minky was also so fun to watch since my nieces told me that he's afraid of animals yet he immediately fell for the puppy's charm. Now, I am hooked

And what to do with Taec? With just a slight physical contact with Shin Hye, several seconds of holding her wrist already sent him to cloud nine. The boy could not stop smiling and suddenly everything looked pretty to him And it was so funny that he acted all manly after coming back from the town, telling PSH to rest but with one word from PSH, he just caved and said "ok" when she insisted that they at least marinate the meat

Oh sis seirazde I felt the same way with so many posts to read. But actually it's not a lot every post is entered as a new one but is actually just added to previous. It takes a while.

Like you sis journoexpat I walked into the 3MAD series only bcoz PSH was guesting I think that was after the Baeksang awards last April but just watching how the cast coped with challenges of farmlife made me more curious so I viewed all 11 episodes of season 1 and also some of the fishing village episodes. This brought me to video clips of how JGS's (yes PSH's male costar in You're Beautiful) episodes were cancelled etc.

Then when I found out all 3 men had been in Wonderful Days I was curious what roles they played. Further exploration led me to We Got Married series of Taecyeon. Although he didn't always agree with Gui-gui he was very pleasant and thoughtful of her and gave in most of the time. It's no wonder Gui-gui couldn't say goodbye and actually cried during the last filming when they had to end it. (accdg to news bcoz of their busy sched). Followers of Taecyeon will see a more debonair person in that series esp the wedding scene. It's all just show but even then he played the part of a newly married man so well you'll be led to believe he had feelings for her or that they were really a married couple. (sidebar: Followers of JYH, PSH's costar in Heartstrings can also enjoy JYH's We Got Married series, there JYH was like Taecyeon trying to please the female partner as much as possible. In both WGM series the men were doing their best to be "good husband" to their "wife". Actually I don't know why these men (and women) even accepted to appear in the series. I can imagine it was a lot of pressure. Maybe they wanted to know what challenges (and fun) married life had. In the end I think the participants concluded being married was not an easy thing to do. I have to congratulate the producer of that show it opened the eyes of many to that harsh reality that marriage is not all bliss.

Sorry guys for veering off the topic... It's just that PSH didn't do any We Got Married series But 3MAD is probably the closest she could go to something like that. That's probably they had been labeled as "unofficial couple" since she & Taecyeon were not recruited to the show to be a couple but ended up being so. The "culprit" (if I may call him that no negative meaning, that's why it's in quotes) here is really Taecyeon. If he didn't show those cute shy reactions if he didn't verbally say "she's my type of girl" or something to that effect in PSH's first guesting all these shipping thoughts wouldn't be ignited. The director experimented by bringing in another girl of about the same age and there was a different interaction. Seemed Taecyeon really did behave differently around PSH. Whether PSH noticed or would even respond on the same level we haven't really seen. She's prudent, careful. It'll be interesting to see if their acquaintanship from this show will continue outside Oksunbong.
