Sis @fgnuva, very interesting observations and thoughts. Since this post is about Taecyeon I will talk about my opinion of him but please don't take offence. Before I saw him on 3MAD, I really didn't like him, this is because he was so bad in acting in all the TV series I tried to watch with him. For some reason I think he really looks similar to Song seung heon. However, after watching him on 3MAD he has won my heart. I have also watched clips of him with the Taiwanese girl in You are married (sorry, can't even remember the name) and he seems a real gentleman and very dorky. So now to the opinion of who is Shin Hye's best suitor. It's really hard, I like Taecyeon, Jong Suk and woo bin. I like Yong Hwa too but for some reason I keep thinking him and Shin Hye are just bff. From looks Lee Min Ho wins hands down best couple with Shin Hye. Shin Hye is a strong headed girl so I don't think she would have a partner that would be as strong headed. It really is up to Shin Hye at the end of the day cause she has to spend the rest of her life with that guy.

Thanks sis @Kiki22. Agree with you 100%. Eventually it's her (and his) choice. I had the same thoughts abt Taecyeon. In fact I also didn't think much of him even in 3MAD Ep 2. It was only after seeing him in Ep 3 and the 2PM My House MV that I became curious how he can do farm work one day then dance, sing & rap the next day...he's pretty talented and yet so cool about his abilities. Hi everyone, I just found out about this forum about Taecyeon and I am so glad to know that he has won so many of you through his Three Meals a Day appearance. Just like most of you, it is also through that show that I found him endearing and to be honest, if I ever I would have a son I would like him to be like Taecyeon I always look forward to his phone calls to his mom at TMAD cause their conversations are always so funny and you can tell how close they are because her mom's ring tone is always a 2 pm song, it used to be "Hands Up" but now "My House". His mom also always answered with "oh, my son" and would tease him that the show was asking him to do so many new things and once when he needed to make noodles from scratch, his mom said that "you would need strength to make the noodles flat" and added " but you are strong anyway". I think Taecyeon is unlike other idol stars or even actors who are so talkative in interviews and variety shows but are quiet at home and hardly talks to their parents.

Taecyeon said he was like his mom very carefree, lively and free spirited, especially because he is the youngest in the family And the mom and the son always end their phone calls with "bingyo", well I don't know what that means

And I am also looking forward to "Assembly". I admit that Taecyeon still has so much to learn in acting, especially in sad scenes and moments to show anger, perhaps because he is such a happy person and actually has a sweet temperament.

However, I think his acting is decent enough and there is something captivating in him the reason why producers are offering him roles. With a few more dramas with topnotch actors teaching and guiding him, I think he will soon improve by leaps and bounds. I saw some comments when the news that Taecyeon accepted the role in "Assembly" saying that he should have turned it down and give the chance to better actors, some even cited the names of the actors. I think Taecyeon is not to blame if the producers want him and not other actors they insisted (sorry not that familiar with other Korean actors) and Taecyeon knows and admits his limitations and the need to improve more thus he was not greedy enough to look for leading roles.

Assembly's first episode will be shown tomorrow and I hope it will earn high ratings. However, I've seen some comments ( I think from international fans cause there are replies saying those who commented are only exposed to idols and do not know the movie stars in Korea) that they are not interested to watch as Taecyeon is the only popular star but only the second lead. Thus will only get less screen time compared to the lead.

These fans should realize that Taecyeon accepted the role knowing he is the second lead and that he wanted to challenge himself whether he can portray the character who is struggling and studying hard to achieve his dream to be a public servant despite being financially unstable. It is a drama about politics in Korea and not a rom-com.

I am sure the other motivation for him in accepting the role is to see and watch how these seasoned actors attack their roles and in a way learn from them. I don't know if I will get criticize for writing this comment but if you are a fan of Taecyeon will you deprive him of his chance to learn and hone his craft. Taecyeon is earning heaps of praises for the TMAD variety show (which was a big turn around from the hate he used to get before) but I think he needs a good solid drama to earn praises for his acting to really establish himself as a versatile artiste and not just an idol.

Hi sis @Kiki22, i viewed a couple of episodes in the drama Cinderella's Sister where Taecyeon played second lead. His role called him to be funny so he acted those scenes well. His looks weren't impressive he was young. But seeing him now his looks improved a lot in just a few years. We see him now more self-confident. I like your observation of Shin-hye being strong-headed. I think so too. That's why the Straits article said she was the "boss" during her guesting in 3MAD.

Oh sis Jenzzy, you really can see a lot about our binggu farmer. His appeal has really increased now compared to few years back. Physically he has matured and not only that he I think has gained self-confidence... his latest success with 2PM My House MV no. 1 in Asian charts and elsewhere and the Paeksang awarded 3MAD where he's getting primary attention have both contributed to his self-esteem. He has shown he's not only talented as a rapper, singer and dancer but that he can be human, relied on and creative. With 3MAD he has shown he is not just a charming face and nice build, he has shown the world that he is a man of substance. And that's what i think makes him ooze with physical appeal as you so nicely observed.
