On Aug 28, 2011 FTisland's leader Choi Jonghun posted on his twitter:
"FtGtJH 나란놈 쉬는게 어울리지않다….스케줄없고 악기 손에서 놓는날은…아무생각없이 쉴수있지만 왜 불안하지? 뭔가 계속일을해야될꺼같다. 생각을 해보니 “직업병”인거같다..슬프다…쉬고있어도 불안한이기분.."

"Translation: A guy like me doesn’t suit resting…. Days when we have no schedule and taking my hands off from the instruments… Why do I feel so insecure even though I can rest without having any thoughts? Seems that I have to continue to work somehow. I think it’s an “occupational disease”.. So sad… The feeling of insecurity even though I’m resting.."

After 2 hours Jaejin replied to Jonghun:

F.T. Island to play for 30,000 music fans at Toronto’s ‘CONCERT FOR JAPAN’



It’s just been revealed that they’re expected to play for a huge crowd of 30,000!

The boys will be in Downsview Park for the two-day concert on the 3rd and 4th in support of those affected by the earthquakes in Japan. Approximately 30,000 people are expected to show up, with extensive coverage from international media outlets like NHK, CNN, FOX, CBS, HBO, KBS, New York Times, National Geographic, Billboard Magazine, and Clearchannel.

A total of 18 bands will be performing, and F.T. Island has been slotted to be the final performance for the 3rd. FNC Music representatives said, “As a Korean band promoting in Japan, we’re glad that we’re able to participate in such a meaningful event. We hope that those devastated by the tragedy will be able to earn hope from our songs.”

FTIsland to perform at charity concert in Canada next month



FTIsland [FNC Music]


Korean rock band FTIsland will perform at a charity concert in Canada next month, according to their agency FNC Music on Wednesday.

FNC announced in a press release that FTIsland will grace the stage of Toronto's Downsview Park on September 3 as the final act for the "CONCERT FOR JAPAN" which was organized to benefit the victims of the March earthquake.

"CONCERT FOR JAPAN," a two-day event, will also feature performances by 18 international singers such as British DJ and singer Paul Oakenfold, Abandon All Ships and Atomic Tom while various media outlets including NHK, CNN, FOX, HBO and KBS will be in attendance.

"FTIsland was chosen to participate in this charity concert since they have led an active singing career in Japan," an official from FNC was quoted as saying. “We hope that the victims of the earthquake will be consoled through their music.”

FTIsland, composed of members Lee Hong-ki, Song Seung-hyun, Choi Min-hwan, Lee Jea-jin and Choi Jong-hoon, held their concert in Korea "PLAY FTISLAND" last weekend and will head to several countries in Asia for their concert tour.

F.T. Island’s Jong Hoon shares pictorial-like photos from Canada





On September 2nd and 3rd, F.T. Island‘s Jong Hoon revealed two sets of pictorial-like photos during their stay in Toronto, Canada for the ‘CONCERT FOR JAPAN‘ concert.

Simply captioned “Canada 1day” and “Canada 2day”, fans not only got to see their handsome and stylish idols, but also the beautiful scenery of the places they stayed at.

Fans commented, “Wow, so amazing!”, “There’s such mood and depth to these photos”, “I hope you had a great time, hope to see you soon”, and “Did you enjoy your time in Canada?”

As previously reported, F.T. Island performed alongside 18 different bands from all over the world in front of a 30,000 member crowd.
