hello everybody! this forum seems so quiet lately :) ..yes @fgnuva seems like uri Taecyeon is hitting the gym now..he's more leaner..maybe because nobody is feeding him now.. :P ..I'm done watching Wonderful Days, so now I'm watching his old shows like 2pm show... :) I like the way he trolls with his group..ahahaha...and he's also a big troll to his fans :D..a friend shared the link below...happy reading

onehallyu.com/topic/109478-the-releation...n-taecyeon-and-fans/

I miss TY :luvluv:

Hi sis@avrylle! I thought he looked like he was starved for a while or didn't get enough sleep that's why his face seemed to be a bit... what to say, how to say... yes, bit more chiselled.
Oh so you did watch all 50 episodes of Wonderful Days? Hurrah for you! Wasn't it kind of nostalgic? I would like to live ina town/city like that. The drama had good combination of both tearful, painful scenes as well as funny ones. And Taecyeon did have his share of both... but mostly the latter. I am now in Ep 28 when the father Taesop just popped in... and Donghui is arranging for the teacher to act like the kids' mom. It's really hilarious. No matter how they try to make it like a serious scene (or maybe they're not really serious but hilarious scenes), I always end up laughing...I like the little girl Dongju (?).
I looked at the link you posted...
So can someone tell me the word "oppa" is meant to be used for boyfriend or brother? I've seen it translated as either one... which one is correct? What's the difference, please help me clarify this so I can understand why Taecyeon would tell his fans "I'm not your oppa" or why he would tell the lady co-host "You're calling me oppa here?"
PSH did call Taecyeon "oppa" a few times... why didn't Taecyeon correct her? Or is it the way it is pronounced? Will appreciate your clarification sisters!

Just sharing this recent interview from Baila Japan

Q: If you invite your GF to your house?
Taec: "When I take her to my room, first thing I do is, I keep the door open for 15cm, so she doesn't have to worry so as my parents."
trans by memoryinfridge on twitter. She also added that the editor also said what the perfect manner he has as living with his family..

Yes, sis@stannis... from the limited inputs we got through 3MAD it would seem that Taecyeon is the type who'd be so polite and proper when it comes to these things.
Oh dear, isn't there any fault in him? How come this guy seems to be so perfect! If i had a pretty daughter (born in the 80's) I'd take him to his concerts and pull all types of strings to she can meet him personally... ha! ha! Ah, I'd better teach her how to cook Korean food well.. or maybe get her trained to cook well... LOL!

Some pics from the Budokan concerts

Jjit Taec :onhot: Fans said that he had to change on stage because there's no time to go backstage after his solo performance. :wahaha

Taec arriving in Korea yesterday

Yeah, right! LOL! No time to go backstage to change, why not do it right there in front of the fans, huh! Ah he really must get a kick out of the fans screaming when he shows his 6-pack. This guy has some... no, a lot of naughtiness in him... but the clean type maybe.
Thanks for posting the photos, sis@stannis! you're really our angel-sleuth on our oppa (oopps! I am oopa-ing him already... mianhe!) ha! ha!

Yes sis@Sagitandra, I can commiserate with you! I miss our Oksunbong farmer and family as well as the other person in our "unofficial couple". What do you do in the meantime? Are you like a few of us who are watching other Taecyeon dramas like Wonderful Days? It's good sisters are posting photos, we don't miss him that much. But I do miss hearing about PSH though.
:)

Good Sunday everyone! It is quiet here but thanks for all the concert pics. Been waiting for a pic of him playing the guitar and woaah then it came with photos of him shirtless cause he did not have the time to go backstage to change, hmm, I think the staff just wanted to give extra service to the concertgoers since Chansung was absent :) A male colleague of mine said that these days, it was always Chansung who takes off his shirt during concerts and not Taec although he said that Taec's body is really awesome and that even Rain admitted that among the idols Taec has the best abs ;)

And for his Baila interview quote that if he would take his girlfriend in his room, he would leave his bedroom door ajar for at least 15 cms, so as not to worry his parents and his girlfriend (is he telling this to someone in particular cause there would be no 2 hyungs to observe their actions) Ok, never mind that I am just delusional since I have yet to drink my morning coffee :shy:

I guess Taec is keeping his promise to his parents that he will not do anything to shame them. I read before in an interview that his sister is better than him in studies, sports, musical intruments etc. and that she has inspired him to do better and not to do anything to embarrass the parents. He even said that since his sister works for a government department (not so sure about this) he is a non-existent brother to protect his sister's identity. I read somewhere that the sister is a graduate of Cornell University. Such a nice son and little brother not to mention caring and gentleman boyfriend.

Oh sis@journoexpat, I am with you in all you said about Taecyeon! Indeed he's nice person... and I feel like I might be in a trance... is he for real? I keep looking for some "fault" in him if perhaps he might have one to see if he is really human at least... but I can't seem to find any.
Oh, he put rice in the pot without washing it, he cooked the beans without washing them (also known as devil's food), he spilled the pot of soup/meal out of carelessness in one episode and possibly other careless acts... but that's ok... it's nothing that can scar his quite perfect persona that we know . Forgive me sisters... am also quite delusional, and i'm quite fully awake. :)

In my understanding of the Korean Language "oppa" is a term used by a girl calling a guy who is older than her in age. In Korea, there is this thing called "aegyo" in which sometimes girls call their partners "oppa" in a very cute & sweet manner. "Chagi" is a form of endearment when you are in a relationship. "Yeobo" is endearment when you guys are married. Feel free to correct me on this. Calling Sis Nicole Park

Sis@avrylle19, I am also watching old videos of 2PM as suggested by a friend of mine. I'm done watching Hot Blood, a docu of their training days and how 2PM and 2Am members were chosen. Taec looks the same even though he was still in his teens then. It was in this documentary that I saw Taec sparred with a professional boxer and ended up bleeding for taking several jabs during the sparring. But you have to admire his courage, because when the boxer asked for someone to step forward, he did not hesitate to step inside the ring and be the first to spar with him knowing he would be facing a three-time national champion. And I dare say that the boxer did not hold any punches cause Taec got hit several times and even sprawled on the sand. The sparring was only stopped when someone noticed that he was bleeding. A few scenes after that he was shown already smiling as if nothing happened to him, I guess during that time he was already on his way to being "Ok Beast" :)

And the boxer even lauded his courage by saying Ok Taecyeon "will never go hungry" and will be successful because he could immediately adapt to his surroundings and a fast learner.

I've got to see that "Hot blood" docu too sis@journoexpat. Thanks for sharing this particular experience of Taecyeon. I think this is the thing that makes Taecyeon so endearing... he can adjust to his environs so easily. I am quite impressed how he could one day do filming for Assembly and dish out those lines in a suit... and then the next day dress so casually and be cooking rice and meals or harvesting corn in shorts as if he was a true-blue farmer.
I think secretly I'd like to know how he was raised, or what he's been taught so I can probably advise my friends who have children to do the same. :)

Yep. Taec's noona still remains a mystery. She's really private but Taec saying that she's better at a lot of things than him says a lot about her. She's probably as interesting as okbingu. Also, I heard that she's a lawyer.

Oh so it's a noona, I thought Taecyeon was older. Indeed, she's probably as interesting. And yes, Taecyeon is being a nice brother by not talking too much about her or giving too much information to divulge her identity... especially if you say she is a lawyer and is working with the (American?) government.
Thanks for the info sis@stannis. :)
Happy and quiet Sunday to everyone. Let's have a good week ahead. Our Oksunbong farmer-bingu is headed for Japan again for 3 nights of concertizing. :)

sis @fgnuva I actually recall the stories behind these..Oppa can be for an older guy, brother and boyfriend.

The first one was during Dream Concert where he was an MC....I remember reading somewhere that there were bunch of fanboys calling him "OPPA!!" So he jokingly said that. :wahaha :wahaha

"Oppa, I can trust you ok?" is a line in their song Hands Up...and he refused to be called oppa..once again...for entertainment.

The one with Miss A's Min was during a Youtube event and they were hosting together so they had to use formalities so Taec "corrected" her. :D

and about Ok Noona, she went back to Korea after her studying at Cornell University.

I think he looks gaunt not only from gym but I think preparing and doing concert can take its toll on the body too. I can't imagine myself doing all those dance moves for so many days. Also have to do dance practice. That man is so busy...just finished 3MAD, drama and now concert.
