In My Line of Sight is “My Boyfriend”



At this exact time they are flying through a nationwide tour of Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya) that started on October 7, while their new single will drop on October 21. Including solo activities, Asia’s No.1 Beast Idols, 2PM, are continuing their promising and lively activities, and today they will be a “boyfriend” only for you. Immediately before spotting you, we stealthily filmed the expressions and actions they made the moment they spotted you! Then what we talked about was “ideal type & ideal love.” With each of their characters being visibly different, please persevere as well as you can through the heart-palpitating situations.






Nichkhun
On the way home from the station, he came a bit earlier to meet me and therefore he’s smiling.
Maybe because I sent a message like, “I’m tired~ (;_;)”?
Ever gentle, he is my beloved boyfriend.



“I’ll take you to a delicious restaurant in hopes that your tiredness will vanish.”

What would you do if perhaps your boyfriend was waiting for you at the front of the pedestrian crossing……? Just imagining Nichkhun gazing at you with a sweet smile on his face would make a lot of girls’ hearts beat faster.

“Me, too. When she gets there, I would hold her hand after giving her a tight hug and then I would want to go eat something tasty. However, if I unexpectedly ran into her in some town, it would get my heart excited for another reason. Lovers generally know each other’s schedules, right? If she suddenly appeared before my eyes, I would be surprised, thinking why is she here!? And I might end up running away from that place.”

Compared to how he normally is, I can’t imagine him hesitating like he did in his answer. What is Nichkhun’s ideal date?

“I would take from my house’s wine collection the best tasting one and drink it together while spending quiet time listening to music. Having a date at a restaurant that serves good food would be nice, too. Since I usually have take-out food while working, I make it a habit to go look for restaurants with delicious food in my off time. I guess I’m pretty fussy when it comes to food. It’s because it directly affects my body’s condition. I also make breakfast myself. Though it’s things like pancakes and toast. I like eating peanut butter and strawberry jam together, so I would want to give it to my girlfriend to eat, too. Isn’t it the most wonderful thing to share something you love with your special someone and eat it at the start of a day?”

What Nichkhun pays close attention to on a daily basis is the “way to talk.” Because of that, he’s a bit wrapped up in his worries.

“It’s about understanding and being concerned about another person. I think it’s important for maintaining a good relationship with each other. It’s just that in my case I speak after thinking up a joke, so the conversation will become late by one tempo. Therefore, it’s boring when I talk! (laugh). If my girlfriend doesn’t find it interesting, then we might not be a good match (laugh).”



Jun. K
I like when he’s talking about music.
He becomes entranced and his eyes sparkle; he couldn’t look happier.
I want to hear his voice talk about it even more as I’m listening,
Although he’s sometimes redundant, I keep it a secret.



“I’m able to stay as myself because you are here to watch over me since I concentrate too much on things.”

“The concept this time is nice. For you all to catch what I want to talk to you about!” said Jun. K, having fun while participating in the photoshoot.

“Holding hands? I think I would do that on a date. If we’re not in the public eye, I would do this (showing with body language how he would hug her side) and walk holding onto her! Not only that, I would entertain her with kisses if she were to come to my house (laugh). I want to try having a Fuji mountain climbing date once. I think it would be hard since it’s the highest mountain in Japan, but when we descend down the mountain, I would gently massage her legs for her.”

Deeply expressive when it comes to love emotions, what’s important to Jun. K when dating someone is “trust.”

“Though excitement and thrills in love are important, I think what’s more important than that is consideration for the other and not lying. It can happen that when you’re dating someone, you will happen to meet them at a place you can’t consent to. At a time like that, I first try to have trust, and try to believe in her. There’s a part of me that becomes too concentrated once I’ve started something. Because of that, I will get obsessed with the details to the point where I think "Won’t it hinder my health?” but the members and staff have come to trust me even though I’m like that. Therefore, I can immerse myself in composing, and I’m able to stay as myself. If my girlfriend could be that kind of presence for me, it would truly be the best! Well, thanks to that, it wouldn’t be good to get too interested, though (laugh).“

When the photoshoot concept was explained to me, Junho told me with his gentle, narrow eyes, “I like thinking about what I would do if I had a girlfriend. It makes me feel warm inside.”

“Hmm, that’s right……. I want to always stay close to my girlfriend, and I want to hold her hand. It would be nice to put the hand I’m holding into one of our pockets and walk through the winter town. At a nice place where we don’t have to worry over each other, and spend time together…… ah, that place! I felt it 3 years ago when I went to Africa as a volunteer, but there was no cellphone connection and no one knew who I was. I was just able to be a single man there. Although if you think about it in a regular way, it should be a pity……. Perhaps the ideal dating spot would be the place where I can be the only man in front of her. If going by what that means, I guess my house would be the best? Wow, it’s super close (laugh).”

Junho’s room where his “house date” will be is in a state of always being welcome?

“When I was living in a dorm, I paid absolutely no attention to my room. However, in the place I’m living in now, the interior and interior design were all chosen one by one. At first the rooms were so tasteless I thought, ‘It’s like an office!’ but I started making them into something I like. When I make songs, I listen to various kinds of music and from that I pull something out from within me, disassemble it, and I go on to construct fresh music from it, however, I did the same thing when it came to making my rooms. I thought about and fixed the image of the rooms I wanted to live in, and adjusted everything from the TV and bed, etc, to the placement for all the furniture, height, and down to the corners, countless times. What kind of time will he and his girlfriend spend in his favorite space?

“I want to converse a lot. Fun things, tough things, dissatisfactions, everything. Even small misunderstandings can turn problematic if they pile up. I want to build up our future disclosing ourselves to each other without embarrassment.”



Chansung
He’s wearing a composed expression again.
I’ve been told, “Your boyfriend seems mature,” but I’m the only one he dotes on.
Just a little more, until he realizes.
I want to keep looking at his cool face.



“Watch a movie, and make food. No matter what we do, I want to do it together when it’s only the two of us.”

“If I happen to spot a girl in town that interests me, I’m not the type who can speak to her. If I think, 'Ah, she’s pretty,’ then I’m passing by too close. Of course I’ll feel that I want to speak to her, but if it’s fate, we’ll surely meet again somewhere…… or at least that’s what I tell myself.”

Chansung shows a shy side of himself unseemly for a “Beast Idol.” He totally hesitates to hold hands in public.

“I will think, 'Won’t it be troublesome to have my hand held in public?’ Although I may hold hands in a space with just the two of us…… courage is a must. Perhaps it would be best if she were the one to take my hand in hers.”

Since he is so concerned with the public eye, what is a place in which the two of them can relax?

“I guess my house? We could watch DVDs, make something to eat, and enjoy common interests. No matter what it is, I want us to do it together. However, since I’m usually the type to not clean up my room much, I’m worried if my partner will be able to relax at my place (bitter laugh). Since I myself have the thought, 'It would be great if I knew where the important things are,’ when I try not to scatter things and think, 'This is no good,’ I can’t clean up. Of course I would prefer things to be clean. However, if there’s too much that I have to get done, I can’t clean! I want a girlfriend who will help me clean together……. Of course I would do something in return for her. When I was living with others, after we returned home from eating outside I made ramen, etc, in the night. The members would suddenly and noisily gather and eat……. Even though they just got back from eating, they would eat again (laugh).”

Clumsy and shy. Though he likes taking care of others and has a gentle way of dating someone, it seems Chansung would become a good partner.

“When we fight, I would definitely try to talk in a gentle manner. If we’re able to talk rationally, I think we could understand each other and our intimacy would become stronger. I would be quick to try and resolve things!”



Wooyoung
Before our appointment I passed by the florist, and he was there.
With my favorite flower in hand, his happily smiling figure was adorable.
Will I be able to pull off a surprised expression in 10 minutes?



“I will end up becoming a chatterbox when I’m around you. …I want to see your smiling face.”

“On a day like today where the weather is good and the wind is blowing, I want to eat a meal on the terrace of a certain restaurant. Doesn’t it seem like it would feel really good?” Wooyoung smiles like a jokester while smelling the bouquet of flowers. He answered charmingly even to the question, “What is your ideal date?”

“If there’s somewhere she wants to go, anywhere is fine. Since I become a chatterbox in front of the person I like, I would be glad if my partner likes talking too.”

However, before you meet the talkative Wooyoung, he seems rather inaccessible on the way.

“Even if the other person captures my heart when we meet, I won’t move right away. If we happen to meet two times by chance and I’m still too excited, I’ll try to confirm whether my feelings are the real thing while gazing at her. Even if it gets to that point I won’t make any actions. A relationship that won’t start unless I speak to her is unnatural; my ideal is to have a relationship in which we get our feelings across even without words.”

It seems that Wooyoung who is sensitive and cautious doesn’t like clingy skinship like a couple he saw in town.

“Excessive skinship in public is embarrassing. I’m not good at that sort of thing! I think it’s good enough just keeping it as a precious secret between two people.”

To Wooyoung who becomes sweet and talkative only in front of the person his heart allows, what is he concerned about?

“At all times, I give priority to my partner. I believe that will deepen the trusting relationship between the two of us.”




Taecyeon
His turned face going “Hm?” is cute and I end up calling his name over and over.
Even if the time I’m able to spend with him is short since he’s so busy, this living room is a special dating place where we joke together, and laugh together.



“While doing my specialty which is cooking, I wanted to try and contemplate 'Thinking about a partner.’”


The photoshoot theme was relaxing after being invited over to the house. In reality, what would happen if Taecyeon’s girlfriend invited herself over to his room?

“I would show her around the house. After that, I would show her where I make and produce music, and together look at my album photos. It might be nice to cook while she’s watching TV. Recently I made pizza from a certain show. I picked basil and parsley from my vegetable garden and used it in the sauce, and I used arugula and tomato for the toppings. I of course made it from scratch. Cooking is my specialty so I guarantee the flavor…… however! I’m not good at cleaning up after. I would be pleased if the two of us could wash the dishes together after we eat.”

In a place with just the two of them, they make handmade food. There isn’t a more extravagant situation than this!

“Even if I say it, it’s completely a wild imagining of mine. In reality I live together with my family, so such a sweet date like that is not possible. Instead, I would be enthusiastic about going on a date somewhere outside the house. If we went for a drive, I would open the door for her and I wouldn’t let her worry about unnecessary things. For example, eating. Since I put my all into eating, I want her to be at ease and eat only what she wants. ……Then I guess the two of us would get fat, huh? (laugh).”

Though Taecyeon may be like that, apparently he recently changed his way of thinking when it comes to love.

“Since a long time ago, I thought 'not lying’ was something that must be abided by couples, but I recently changed my way of thinking a bit. If you’re honest to a fault, you could harm your partner or hurt their feelings. When you need to be honest, you should think about your partner’s feelings before you speak, and that is what I think is the most important thing. Most couple fights start from something really tiny. If they pile up, the feeling of loneliness becomes bigger. Rather than having the meaning of 'liar,’ there are things your partner is better off not knowing. If you think like that your negative emotions won’t pile up. I want to have more consideration like that. Because I want my girlfriend to always be laughing by my side.”

Thank you for the BAILA interview translations.

I wonder if Taec realized that what he uttered in the interview about the things he wanted to do with his girlfriend were the same things he did at TMAD with Shin Hye. He did cook for her ( curry dish, fried fish, grilled fish, omelette and ricotta cheese and as a bonus even made a mojito for her) and together they also washed the dishes on episode 17 before they started cooking dinner and again as a bonus even prepare the ingredients and cooked together in almost all the episodes Shin Hye guested in.
Although, they were not alone when they did all the cooking and the washig and of course, Shin Hye was not Taec's girlfriend.

And him giving utmost consideration to his future girlfriend's feelings and only wanting her to be comfortable and happy by his side are so endearing, making me think that him being called by his fans and some K-netizens as the "Nation's Future Son-in-Law" is really quite befitting and suitable
