Did you say the Oksunbong farm is "worn down" oh that's a pity.
Regardless of it having run only for a year PD Na did accomplish something so unique with this show. There were many lessons.
One of them was his reminder at the end of the last episode of Season (1) Remember to eat 3 meals a day. I think Lee Seo-jin was not eating properly and he was like a friend showing Seo-jin the importance of eating good meals.
Lesson 2 was stated by Hwa-jung who said something about enjoying meals with friends and family as one of the joys of this life. She certainly said it so sharply. That's what they had when they returned to Oksunbong for Episode 10 and had an impromptu Christmas party of sorts with lights music and dumplings (from scratch).
Indeed the joy of eating with family and friends what can compare to that?
Lesson 3: That one can survive from a farm life...at least the basic needs for survival, food...
It was interesting how Taecyeon actually grew into it.. Becoming more adept with starting the fire, cooking, milking Jackson, even planting and harvesting.
Honestly it was after watching him make yoghurt, cheese and mayonnaise from milk and eggs they themselves got from their farm animals that I really appreciated these animals.
Lesson 4: Farmers are one of the most undervalued people on earth. We need to support farmers and those in agriculture more. We need to encourage more and more farmers and even younger generations to consider farming as a viable way of earning a living.
There are more lessons am sure that you dear sisters have learned from this variety show.

To me it looks so worn out and cluttered despite the place has been turned into a camp site.

I share your feelings sis@jenzzy. It holds so many memories and seeing the things they built in decrepit state are just so sad to look at. I don't know if I can describe the farm as in a total rundown, because I think the house is still being maintained and since it has been turned into a camp site, of course, the surrounding areas are well-kept. However, I described it as worn out because I can't feel the spirit of liveliness and warmth that I so love while watching TMAD. I always expect to see smoke coming out from the oven or from the two stoves, water gushing from the faucet and the inviting greenery in front of the house, the sounds of the animals and the buzzing of the honeybees :) Seeing the farm without the TMAD cast and crew gave me the feeling of loneliness, as if the farm is saying it has lost its purpose and now just serves as background for people taking pictures of themselves.

PD Na was so worried about protecting and respecting the privacy of the locals as more and more tourists where visiting the set while TMAD was still ongoing. But I wonder, how the locals feel now that the farm is a camp site

Thanks sis@avrylle19 for Taec's pics. He has been taking up so many causes lately, I admire him for that. Can't wait for the airing of his Bolivia documentary.

Is it the hair or is it because he was not wearing make-up that Taecyeon looks so young in that pic :)

I know what you mean sis @journoexpat and sis @Jenzzy. It really looks rundown..
The stoves Taecyeon built and even improved, the oven all 3 carefully constructed, the enclosure for Minky's house which Seo-jin & Kwang-kyu put up with much diligence...
Oh how so painfully sad.
But then again why would people care about these things, they probably mean nothing to those who didn't spend time and effort working on these things?
But I wonder if we already feel this way about the place and those structures would Taecyeon and PSH feel the same way seeing the photos?
Am thinking now would it have been better if the structures were put down or put away on the last episode as they were packing the veggies to send to guests?
Pleasant Wednesday evening everyone.

Sis@avrylle19 may I know where the event was? And was it recent? Taecyeon always looks elegant in suits.
Am currently watching Dream High and Taecyeon looked like he does today except that he's aged more elegantly now compared to his looks in 2011(?)
